19.01.2022 Are we still ruminating the year it was? Are we still giving our brain permission to Justify our pessimism? Are we finished with that yet?... Maybe If we take control of our Thoughts and focus on what is USEFUL for us To move forward As opposed to feeding anxiety and barricading creative thinking to problem solve Then we can OPEN our minds and our hearts to the POSSIBILITIES Being more able to overcome the obstacles that get in our way Becoming what we need to become Here’s some mind prep for new life in the new year Give yourself a break from racing thoughts. Sound familiar? Start this exercise with some breathing meditation To calm the body Open the mind Get into a quiet space Breathe in for 4 counts Hold for 7 counts Breathe out for 8 counts (I find setting a timer on my phone for ten minutes, helps me stay focused) For those that have never done this, it is seriously like finding a new life! With a calm mind Reflect on what learnings you can take from 2020 What meaning can you make? How am I a better person? How has this year altered my outlook on life? What new opportunities could there be because of what I went through this year? What wisdom have I gained that will make my life better because of this year? 07.01.2022 Morning Friends, As most of you know I work in the Wellbeing space and have spent the last three years studying one of my life passions - Positive Psychology & Coaching - supporting people to thrive from a strengths base. I work with various elements within this space, one of which is one to one coaching. In this capacity I help facilitate people's individual journeys to clarify and navigate pathways forward in a life and work place that can be congested and ...clouded. 05.01.2022 I struggled on a topic this week. Nothing was feeling right So I followed my and didn't write Then, whilst reading a piece from Thought Leader, Vishen Lakhiani... one of my favourite topics jumped out. The backyard of our Thoughts Our internal thought leaders How often do we make a decision Then later Feelings in your body Nudge, creak and interrupt your thinking It may be a flutter of discomfort A pit in your stomach Or something else And have you ever ignored that feeling? I know I have, many times! Because you have made a decision Havent you No interruptions please! Those feelings Your That thing inside trying to tell you You are aligned Or not What are your Thoughts doing with that? Are they slamming down Because it takes Courage to listen to your You might have to change that plan you made And what would that do? And what if I don't listen to it? Will life lessons be harder to learn? 03.01.2022 Yesterday, I was reminded of our unique characters Our family came together for the first time all year Feeling the goodness of each individual in my family, gave me such a sense of gratitude for these wonderful beings in my inner world... And it got me thinking about what we are grateful for And what gets forgotten When you think of being Grateful, What do you think of? Your family, where you live, the work you do...? Often when we think of being Grateful, we usually think of an event, a thing or someone - things external to us Which is fabulous! What if we could take it up a notch, Up the power effect It just maybe, might, possibly change your life Being grateful for something about YOURSELF I am GREAT - FULL Full of GREAT about ME! The amazing brain will reward with Power moments of self-love and acceptance Feeling good about yourself What if you tried it every day? Maybe a habit would be formed Your brain would start looking for more Wonderful things about yourself You might even start to like yourself more What if?
