25.01.2022 Finally a bit of justice, now hopefully the money makes it into the hands that deserve it. It was a devastating blow to the community, let alone to have it drag on for this long. As a conversation starter... i wonder about the timing... is this paving the way for a reopen? or a sale? hopefully something is done with the facility (by someone who cares) to bring back some jobs

16.01.2022 Remember it is ok to ask your electrical contractor about licencing (contractor and worker) and safety systems before engaging to do work. Unfortunately these days there are a lot of cowboys in every trade , not only the electrical industry. Negligence and short cuts when performing electrical work have far more dangerous outcomes than most other trades. At Minelec. we run on a triple certified Quality, Health&Safety and Environment management system so we can provide the highest level of service to our customers, each and every time. Your contractor doesnt have to be triple certified, but make sure they have the basics to be able to do your job professionally and safely. Being Gold Tick Accredited by Master Electricians Australia a good place to start

09.01.2022 Excited to be a contender in the Master Electricians Australia national awards tonight. disappointed were are unable to attend in Brisbane but we are well represented by other North Queensland contractors and friends. good luck to all. waiting to hear from you Johnny Horan

02.01.2022 Devastating flooding in northeast Australia has forced thousands of people from their homes. Much of the city of Townsville in Queensland state is flooded, with... residents left without power and a mammoth clean up ahead. To all our local community members, the Clipsal/Schneider Electric office at 193 Ingham Road, West End in Townsville is open to all flood affected residents between 8.30am 4.00pm, Monday - Friday. We welcome everyone to come in and take advantage of free phone charging, computer and internet access, hot tea and coffee and any photocopying needed. Also feel free to contact us for a list of certified Electricians to assist with getting power back on safely. We extend our sincere thanks to the emergency services, local authorities, defence personnel and local volunteers who have been working tirelessly over the last few days. Our thoughts go out to the entire Townsville community in this difficult time.
