25.01.2022 Check out how nicely done this is!
25.01.2022 A couple of cool minis from the recent Calvmx season opener in Lake Elsinore.
24.01.2022 Not hard to see why so many great riders came from mini bikes.
23.01.2022 Shane Harvey. Are you out there? You were the quickest 13 -15 80cc rider ever! Shane won the Aussie titles in QLD on a Yamaha YZ80 that was painted blue and tuned by his dad Alf. The Melbourne rider Lucas Reynolds bought it immediately after at the track for a tidy sum more than its worth, much to Alfs delight!... I wonder where that bike is now. : }
23.01.2022 70% rider 30% bike. Still true to this day.
23.01.2022 Pull start anyone?
22.01.2022 Following along the Jeff Ward theme... Thought Id post this as an example of how we used to cross brand our clothing. Kids today wont even ride unless everything matches!
22.01.2022 OK! New Laptop up & running, new admins chosen (Hope that its cool with those people) and so the possibility of more photos etc beckons! Now to rumage thru the photo collection & find the nearest scanner...
21.01.2022 An image to inspire, from a movie that inspired us all.
21.01.2022 My dad wanted me to have my sash collection back. This is just a few from 1974-77 TB
21.01.2022 Doesnt get much tricker than this!
20.01.2022 Have heard a rumour that there may be a Tea Tree Gully MBC reunion on the cards...
17.01.2022 Love this shot from the American "MINIBIKES" page. Reminds me of the times that 3 Star guest appeared at a few different Speedways... Can anyone name the tracks?
16.01.2022 Today I saw a post on the page Minibikes from the 70s, 80s... and thought I recognised a Victorian rider (Richard Silis) I raced against on one of my trips over the border, by his number or so I thought. After a great conversation with another rider (Glenn Fogarty) in the same shot I worked out that it was an older brother (Craig Silis). Through this conversation we also worked out who owned the bike I borrowed to compete in a all Honda race day at Wallan Vic. These are the pics of both the owner (Glenn Jones) #31 and me #111 on the same Honda XR80.
16.01.2022 Hey guys, thanks for the input! Please feel free to tag photos & post comments. Believe it or not, Im trying to do this all on an iPhone. Im just about to get a new laptop & hope to increase content accordingly. : ) TB
15.01.2022 A classic XR75 moment with Fran Graetz Petersen
15.01.2022 50cc mixed class. Myself , Tony Will , Mark Snelgrove , Mark Haines, At Honda mini bike club
14.01.2022 Back in 73 at an almost rural Lonsdale.
13.01.2022 Hi everyone, Happy Easter! Its been brought to my attention that we currently have both a page and a group for MBASA.... I started it all as a page and recently asked Steve Skilton to take on the role of admin for the group. We have him to thank for his excellent contributions and relevant content. The group is also an easier place to post your pics. We always look forward to anything new, so please keep them coming. It has also been discussed by the admins that there should be an official reunion later in the year (Current health issues not withstanding) or the next at the latest. Sooo, heres a list of topics that we would like your input on in the meantime- What was your club and how many others are you still in contact with? Who was your club president/s and do you have a contact for them? Do you have any video footage of race meetings and what format is it? Where would be a suitable location? What time of year is best? Thats a start, but Im sure there will be more... I believe this can & should happen, but only if there is the interest and involvement from you. Also, please feel free to contact me directly with any ideas or info you think will help to get this reunion off the ground. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Cheers! Tracy Bray
13.01.2022 You can almost see the shocked look on Steve Skiltons face as his Yamatarbo/Tarboha 80 gets divebombed by an insect on a Rupp RMT 80. 3 Star St Kilda
13.01.2022 No, Im on a firebreathing YZ80A. I can see why you had to stay back a little. Look at the roost Its throwing . :)
13.01.2022 Just had a flashback to this time of a Sunday after the dust had settled on another meeting. Us kids would be keeping an eye on the parents as they enjoyed a cleansing ale, so we could take one of their cars for a drive around the car park at the track.
13.01.2022 The great Hot Kat v Fantic v SST battle still rages after all these years!
11.01.2022 Back in the day girl racers rode in the "Powder Puff" class... Some of these girls were quiker than the boys. Fran Graetz Petersen was one of these girls.
11.01.2022 If you were in the TEA TREE GULLY Mini Bike Club or know of anyone who was, then Spread the word folks! There will be a REUNION on September 23 from 11:00 at the CIVIC PARK opposite Tea Tree Plaza! Its a BYO everything, with the option of bringing along a card table to lay out some memorabilia and photos depending on the weather. For further information please feel free to contact Fran Graetz (Peterson) on 0415 220 023

07.01.2022 So who here thinks its time for a full on SA Mini Bike club reunion?
07.01.2022 I would like to remember the mums... any photos youd liked to share very welcome.
06.01.2022 The times theyve been a changing! But not by a huge amount. Youd have to compare this bike to a miriad of different "pit bikes" on offer nowadays...
05.01.2022 Northern Districts was one of the most competitive mini bike clubs that produced some awesome champions.
04.01.2022 Our very similar GT-MX80 was ridden to work on weekdays & raced on Sunday. This is the bike that got me hooked!
03.01.2022 Jae and me in another duel of death. Hey, Im in front!
03.01.2022 A little blurry shot, but a classic example of straight backed, front end steering & leg trailing youth, Tracy Bray, Geoff Reid & Jae Sconce at Murray Bridge speedway.
02.01.2022 A common theme for most of these (Jae in front of Steve Skilton) : )
01.01.2022 Hi Folks! I decide it was time to change back to the name this page always should have. To those of you who are coming on board from SA clubs, Awesome! To all those whove helped keep the memories of their mini bike experiences alive here, Thank you & please keep it up! Tracy Bray
