18.01.2022 Commercial property maintenance : The May Day long weekend provided the perfect opportunity to complete work at a commercial property, when there was no client traffic. We completed pot hole carpark repairs and maintenance in the city for one of our long serving clients.... Our objective was to return this high traffic area back to a safe car friendly environment. This carpark has a high turn over of traffic across the day. Client safety is paramount. This job required us to undercut the subsoils and back fill in four stages with suitable road base material, supported by a compaction vibration plate to ensure best outcomes for the future. We were able to bring products with us and complete the scope, taking away the waste by-product once completed.

13.01.2022 How low can you go : Yesterday we completed a new low height entry of 1370mm. We have been working with our client over the last few months, to plan out the multiple phases of his project.... Access was via a steep 800mm wide ramp and at the top the clearance was only 1370mm to the rear yard. We stripped down our Mini Excavator to gain access and refitted components once in the 85 M2 top rear yard in North Ward. We completed a yard strip of 150mm and back filled, using our tracked Mini Dumper. We used the soil to fill a new raised garden bed. Next phase will be more landscaping and a irrigation installation. We are booked for mid June to install pre turf soil and prep for turf suppliers.

13.01.2022 Super Stump Saturday: Massive Yakka tree was the mission this morning. Remove four super size rocks, dig out Yakka tree and undercut for a new garden bed to be planted in the future. Green waste on the trailer and 2Cm3 of dirt taken away from the old bed.

13.01.2022 Green start to the week: Nice way to start the week, drilling 4 X 600mm wide holes 1200mm deep, giving the trees a good start in general and support solid root growth. Complete back filling with Flintstones Landscape Land - Garbutt super soil and other granular nutrients. Total of 10 Cm3 of super soil was brought in with our Mini truck as the rear of yard was small and tight for room. ... Three large fruit trees and one shady Gum type tree installed. New seating area around Gum to be built and soil shaped up for a rolling style open garden area. Nice change to a well used area for a young family to enjoy when established. See more

12.01.2022 Industrial support : This morning we assisted with our Rock Breaker to keep progress on a industrial building expansion. As one section was being poured the next phase was being prepared. As this business is super busy during the week the weekend was the best time to act. ... Our scope was to remove concrete from around the post structure to the new sub level for replacement concrete. As with most industrial buildings the concrete type removed was MPA 40 strength to suit high traffic and load applications.

09.01.2022 The challenges in our week: Often when we receive a call from our clients they provide us with basic details of what they would like undertaken. We call these dots points. The dots points for one of this weeks challenges started with:... * 10 Ton of Blue crusher dust. * 1m step up to side of concrete edge. * 700mm wide acesss across new concrete pool structure. * 1m drop off on other side. * We need this done ASAP please, as we have compaction equipment and concrete being poured on site later in week. A perfect problem you have we reply Our machines are configured for this type of situation. We started out with a ramp build on one side, transverse across with material and building a down ramp to gain access to the actual area needing material. 10 Ton loaded and moved, eliminating manual handling and hours on a wheelbarrow. Pool construction progress, back on target and completion timelines meet. Win,win.

03.01.2022 Drill Holes or Trench line : Over the next few months as we enjoy the cooler periods in our city, it can be beneficial to take advantage of the cooler periods to plant or prepare for fruit trees, hedge lines or the larger ponytail palm type plantings. We can support you with holes from 150mm to 600mm or carry out a trench pit line for your new planting phase.... Recently we completed a trench pit for a client that asked for 400mm wide, 400mm deep for new plantings. We removed the old clay/heavy soil of 4Cm3 and replaced with fluffy Australian standard mix soil 5Cm3. The best start possible for all plant types moving forward.

This very versatile compactor weighing 82 Kilograms with plate specifications of 460mm wide, 610mm long. Operating range of 10-20kN of compaction force. Unit manufacturer is Wacker Neuson. 02.01.2022 Mulching Monday’s : With a current weather climate change of heat,humidity and light storms, it is a perfect time to capture and trap the small amount of rain in the soil sub structures. This can simply be done by adding mulch to your green zones and under/around plants or trees. We can arrange delivery, and spreading. Forward plan the delivery and hold the material until the next rain event, and then we can action the spreading and seal the moisture in over summer.
