18.01.2022 {stay positive} covid & these restrictions suck and all that comes with it suck! But, ive had enough of letting it get to me negatively and effect my mental state. So, instead of letting it ruin my year and mindset, id like to take a minute to share the positives that have come out of this for me personally, rather than focus on all the negatives. Im spending more time baking new recipes and cooking new meals for my kids. ... I have been cooking meals from different cultures. Ive gotten more jobs done around the house than ever before. Ive discovered my love of art and drawing during this time and aim to pursue this. Im learning a new language Ive spent more time listening to piano music rather than watch the TV. Im dancing more with Zoe and making silly videos. Ive stopped stressing the little things with my kids and pick my battles, this is a hard time for them too! More importantly, ive used this time to focus on myself a little more, a little more self care, a little more reading, a little more soul searching and find things that make me happy. These are just a few of the positives to come out of this for me. I hope you have found some positives too!

15.01.2022 {choose happy} During this year Ive had alot of growth as a person. Both physically, mentally & spiritually. One thing I decided to change were my choices. ... I had to realise & really cement in my mind that we cannot control everything. As a person who likes to be in control this was hard, and some days still is. But, I decided that im going to let every situation be what it is rather than what I think it should be or should of been. Should of, would of, could of mentality is the thief of happiness. Its done, move on and dont dwell on it. Take it as a lesson, a lesson to grow for next time. 2020 has been a roller coaster of a year, maybe the worst for some. But for me, im now shifting my mindset, I will be choosing happiness. Its a choice. A choice I have to work on every single morning when I wake, remind myself to {choose happy}. Work at it. Practice it like you would a new skill. Train your mind to choose happy. Every day. Its hard, and still can be for me. But, whats the point in being miserable? What will that achieve? Nothing. So choose to be happy. Be crazy, be silly, be weird, be whatever because life is too short to be anything but happy. Remember, you will be exactly as happy as you decide to be.

01.01.2022 Be brutally honest about your feelings. Our feelings are messengers about what is going on deep within. If we shoot the messenger, we never learn the lesson. Feelings are so powerful that they inform us whether were on the right path, what we want when we should say no, or what we need to face to let go of any negative pattern. People are afraid to feel. They do anything possible to avoid getting in touch with their feelings, but this leads to a life without inner peace.
