You think that minimalist people only have black and white clothes and that they only have one bed and one chair in their home, but believe me that minimalism is much deeper and more rewarding than you think. In fact, it is something that simplifies your life and gives you time to enjoy the things that really matter. Getting started on this journey is also much simpler than you think.... The first step to be a minimalist is to ask yourself about the importance of the things you have around you, looking at your assets and reflecting what makes sense in your life and what is there just for being. Minimalism is not interested in what you have. You can buy millions of different items but none of them will fill the void. Minimalism is more focused on making you enjoy and being yourself. Someone, who returns to the natural order to the default state of thriving with less, rather than keeping you busy cleaning, decluttering or organising all the things you own. Just remember that you were born simple and that our society, media and culture have hauled you away from your nature. When we own too much, we experience stress, anxiety, and depression, effectively deepening the void. Our possessions possess us. They weigh us down mentally, physically and emotionally.
