25.01.2022 Hello again everyone. Due to Covid restrictions and the limited amount of children we are permitted to have, our weekend riding/grooming experiences are getting booked out very quickly. This coming weekend 12/13 September is fully booked out so is the weekend following 19/20 September. (fully booked)... We are now taking bookings for 26/27 September 8.30 - 9.30. There are still limited spaces for the school holiday experiences. 23.01.2022 Hello to all our pony loving friends. What a year it has been. We would like to again thank you for all of your support during these tough times. It wasn’t easy. School Holidays are fast approaching and we have selected dates for you to book in the 1 hour pony riding experience.... The first half hour the children ride our 4 gorgeous Shetland and Welsh ponies with a group of children and the second half hour the children head into our barn and into the individual stables of our miniature ponies and feed, brush and pat them. The cost is $25 cash. All rides begin at 9:30 - 10:30. You may stay until 11:00 if you want to have some morning tea on our verandah. Children must wear closed in shoes. If your child has a bike helmet please bring this along, if not we do supply them. We request you turn up at least 5 mins earlier so you and your child hear our safety talk at 9:30. To avoid disappointment please book in early via our email [email protected] with the following details:- The date you would like. Your child/children’s names. Your mobile number. 07.01.2022 WE ARE TAKING SCHOOL HOLIDAY BOOKINGS NOW! Hi all! Well that time has come again. Time to break out some school holiday riding fun. All bookings must be done online at [email protected]... We have a Covid-safe plan, owners have completed the infection control course and we have hygiene stations around the property. We also take temperatures of anyone that enters our property, their name, mobile and suburb they live in for the safety of you and your family, other guests and our families, staff and friends. We do ask if you are sick or have any cold/flu like symptoms please do not attend. We are open on the following dates and times:- Tuesday 22/9 9.30 - 10.30(booked out) Thursday 24/9 9.30 - 10.30(booked out) Tuesday 29/9 9.30 - 10.30(nearly booked out) Thursday 1/10 9.30 - 10.30(limited spots available) We will be taking only a limited amount of children per booking due to restrictions and where possible only one adult per child. If we get booked out we will open up another session. Each session is $25 cash per child. If your child has a bike helmet please bring that along otherwise we do provide them. Please make sure children are wearing closed in shoes also. You may bring morning tea to have after the rides and pony experience. We will close at 12pm each day. Today we had half the children turn up that were booked and we had put our staff on to cover this many children. Also we had children that wanted to book and missed out as we were booked out. We have been back on deck since mid June and it’s the busiest we have ever been. We’d like to apologise to those that have had to miss out due to our numbers being limited during this pandemic. 01.01.2022 Congratulations Ashley Watson! Farmer Ashley celebrates 7 years working at Mini Mates! Ashley was 13/14 when she came to Mini Mates for her school work experience. Graham and Ros were so impressed with her they hired her on the spot.... Seven years later Ashley is our longest serving worker in the 25 years we have been opened. Her knowledge about horses is super impressive and her gentle nature with the hundreds of children that have and continue to come here is unwavering. Ashley has completed her Psychology degree and is interested in Equine therapy and helping the disabled. She is now a Manager at Mini Mates. Thank you Ashley for your 100% dedication, enthusiasm, commitment and friendship. You always go way above and beyond and no job is too hard for you. Graham, Rossie, Sam, staff and all the ponies
