24.01.2022 First up in preparation of the Make-It Market a Fun Fabric Wall Art

22.01.2022 Just a heads up guys, one of my posts got removed as it allegedly went against FB’s policy (lumped into selling medicine category.) If you are still interested in any of the bottle holders, please PM me for more information. They will make carrying them on you easier, especially with a keyring or clip attachment as they will be able to be clipped onto belt loops, keyring etc. for those still working, this will save you from using the same pumps as everyone else is using. Pm me for more details!

21.01.2022 Something to make us think for today Which way are you? I am 4, 1, 3, 5, 2, 4

20.01.2022 I know a popular topic regarding my quilts amongst customers is the price. To give you just a small insight into what goes into some of these quilts, and just how much I make per hour, have a look through the photo descriptions below I hope this gives you an appreciation on the quality and time that goes into these quilts. I do not own an industrial Quilt machine where I can hook the fabric up and it does all the stitching for me while I can walk away and make myse...lf some lunch if I wanted to. I do it all myself on a domestic machine. this allows me to ensure every piece is one of a kind. I’m watching as every stitch goes in, I can monitor movement of fabric, and I can use materials like Minky (can’t do that on an industrial machine.) so while industrial machines save a lot of time (and effort), they still can’t do what I do depending on the type of quilt I’m making See more

19.01.2022 Something I’m working on- these are photos I took earlier in the week of the two main panels, but I thought I’d share over the weekend. All pieces for this quilt (except one) have now been cut and pinned together. - I ran out of pins for the last border piece so it has to wait until I’ve got one or two of the other pieces sewn I also still need to cut the back minky piece for that one border piece too. Otherwise, going to start stitching this beauty today, just need to wa...it until mr matthew has his afternoon nap so I can draw out the lattice work without his help Though, he is absolutely fascinated with the red car and says it’s mine. I can’t wait to see this one come together #ford #quilt #carquilt #cuddlequilt #ragquilt #minimequilts #mustang #red #green #dodge #racecars #drivecars #workinprogress #customerorder #thankyouforyourbusiness

18.01.2022 I know I’ve mentioned it before, I know a few of you have asked for it before, but guess what?! I’m committing to releasing a pattern for my Pram Cuddle Quilts and I’m hoping to do so in time to release them at the Make- It Market next month! I am also thinking of releasing a select few with the option to include either all the fabric that is required, or just the fabric for the top (the pattern will tell you how much fabric you need as well if you did want to source it all... yourself.) Would anyone be interested in either of these packs? Or would you just prefer to purchase a hard copy or PDF version of the pattern instructions? The only things you would need to have, is cutting equipment, including the cutting mat, as well as an appropriate sewing machine. I will also be looking for TWO pattern testers when I have the instructions completed. These two people will need to be home sewers (no businesses please) as I need to ensure that these patterns can be followed by even a beginner. If you would like to be a pattern tester, please comment below with I’d love to be a pattern tester and either share this post or tag three friends (please), and I’ll pick two testers once I’ve completed the instructions. Thank you

18.01.2022 A little fun for us all... I will start... White Chicks. What can you find?

17.01.2022 Who wants to share how many they have? (come on tell the truth!) I have managed to get my hands on 1 x 6 pack, and what I have here already that’s not in use totals 9 rolls of toilet paper. I usually buy one big bulk packet of 30 from costco. So 9 makes me feel a little naked. Haha.

16.01.2022 I have been very quite here, but I managed to finish this panel last night. Now to do the dividing and outer borders

14.01.2022 Some more Fabric Wall Art done at 2am this morning will get better photos when I can. These will be available at the Make- It Market on the 4th of April. (Spotlight, Everton Park)

12.01.2022 Good Morning to you all! Sorry I have been very quiet on here the past few months. As most of you would know, ive been going through the start of buying a home/ building. It has been a very time consuming (and stressful) process! ... However I settle on my land/loan next week, and then hopefully the build process itself starts within a couple of weeks after that. I am hoping to get back into designing and creating some Children’s Quilts and getting them listed up on my retail store soon after, when all the stress has died down a little. I’ve been having a hard time managing the considerable amount of anxiety and stress I’ve found myself dealing with these past few months, so I will need a little breather between the build starting and when I get back to creating for retail items, and before I think about opening up custom orders again. In the interim I have recently just started working on the last custom order I took prior to closing the custom orders late last year, which are two single quilts. I’m hoping to do the first preview of the first quilt I’m making over the coming weekend. I’m also still working on the Wedding Quilt, but can’t preview that until it’s gifted. Otherwise, how are you all doing? Share a GIF, a meme, or a story of how you have been doing in the comments Id love to hear how you have all been.

07.01.2022 Good evening everyone! Unfortunately I must advise that the due to COVID-19, Spotlight have taken precautionary steps and the Make It Markets have now been cancelled. They are hoping to reinstate these markets later in the year, but will reassess later on. I will still be making items, I have a few pram quilts mostly cut that I will get together over the coming weeks. I have some fabric wall art also. If there’s enough interest I’ll list some (not all) up for retail. ... I am also opening pre-orders for Fabric Wall Art only. If you would like one made in a specific theme please let me know. Payment in full upon ordering is required. Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

06.01.2022 How time flies- one of my favourites still to this day.

03.01.2022 Snug as a bug in a rug... apparently you can’t have enough #minimequilts quilts! The one on the bottom is the first quilt I ever made, and it’s still going strong after almost 3 years. And it still looks the same as the day I made it. . . Then he has his pram quilt (disney inspired) and his How to Train Your Dragon Quilted Blanket underneath that one . .... . He loves his little blankets, he loves wrapping himself in them, and he loves dragging them around everywhere . Have you got a @minimequilts quilt that your child loves? . . #quiltsofinstagram #quilts #quiltsathome #homemadequilt #loveshisquilt #disneyinspiredquilt #woodlandquilt #httydquilt #howtotrainyourdragoninspiredquilt #warmandcuddly #cuddlequilt #traditionalquilt #childrensquilts See more
