21.01.2022 We are continuing to offer training as scheduled but we just wanted to let you know that, in the interests of everybodys health and safety, and in response to any new official advice, we are continuing to adapt our approach. TRAINING INFECTION CONTROL PROTOCOLS If you are sick for any reason do not attend the training course. Stay home and seek appropriate medical assistance keep us informed of your situation do not return to training until you have our approval... If you are in contact with a person with the virus stay home and follow self isolation protocols keep us informed of your situation do not return to training until you have our approval. On arrival at the training session and during breaks thoroughly wash or use sanitizer on your hands and other frequently used objects such as workbooks, phones, mobiles, keys and wallets. Do your best to maintain 1.5m distance from other learners, including during breaks. Classes will be held in the largest available classroom, or outside, so that learners can spread out. No hugging, shaking of hands or cheek-kiss on greeting others. Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow and dispose of the tissue. There is to be no sharing of food or drinks. Communal tea/coffee making facilities have been removed until further notice. Bring your own pen to training with you Please note that our staff will be disinfecting common usage areas such as desks, handrails and door handles at regular intervals throughout the day See more

05.01.2022 Shut downs: Shutdowns are exactly what the name suggests. Every now and then mining sites need to shut down for upgrades, maintenance or repairs and they usuall...y hire people temporarily to work during shut downs. A lot of the work is unskilled and doesnt last very long, so its great for those wanting to get a foot in the door and some mining experience on the CV. See more
