25.01.2022 How good is vapour blasting! This is a gearbox that we overhauled for one of our clients. The instructions were to vapour blast the aluminium parts & reuse old nuts etc with only black sealant to be used. Our mechanic (Jordan) took great care to make sure it met the requirements of our client. ... 24.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Yes, we are open for business (for now). The best part is our online store is contactless. ... Following the outbreak of the worldwide virus COVID-19 we are following all guidelines set out by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Australian government. Currently all our staff are well & no one has been in contact with any person infected with COVID19 or any international guests. We ask that if you feel at all unwell you do not enter our store We have also made some internal changes to ensure the safety of our staff, their families & you (the public): -Implemented a COVID19 policy for all staff to acknowledge & sign. -Signs installed on our door- asking that if unwell do not enter our store. -Signs installed on our counter reminding people of our social distance/no handshake etc. -Hand sanitizer used after any transaction or handling cash (we prefer card at this time). -Regular wipe down/cleaning of counters doorknobs, eftpos machines and frequently used surfaces. -All staff to now be working in a +4m square area. -All towels removed from hand wash bays- new paper towel dispensers installed to both washrooms with hand cleaning procedure signs installed. -All staff to clean hands upon arrival for shift. -Blue line installed at 1.5m distance for our counter. -No clients to be shown through our shop at this stage. -Social distance to be followed (1.5m) and this also includes a re-arrangement of staff lunch times to ensure contact is minimal. -Changes to the cars dropped off at our workshop for work. 16.01.2022 "Hi Everyone, I would like to make a huge thank you to Tony at Minisport. I got a call from my CFS brigade that the people of Kangaroo Island needed help. A call was made and without hesitation Tony was in full support, before i knew it I was on a plane. I spent 3 days on the fire ground and whilst it was hard work it was very rewarding.... I would like to thank Minisport for the support, my work colleagues for covering for me and my family for their love and support. Without this support, many volunteers couldnt help those in need. I hope for the beautiful people of KI that the worst is over and you can start the rebuild. 13.01.2022 Back on the 7th of July 2019, Minisport went to the Melbourne showgrounds for the 60th birthday celebration of the mini! We had a great (but busy day). It was awesome to meet so many mini enthusiasts & it was also wonderful to see so many beautiful cars! Thank you to everyone who came up and said hello! 06.01.2022 "Open for business" Tuesday March 24th 2020 Due to COVID-19 we are implementing a no contact policy at our shop front, this will help protect our staff & you. From Tuesday the 24th of March 2020 Customers will not be allowed into our building (STAFF ONLY) however we will be happy to supply parts without contact. The door will be locked & the gates closed.... All communication can be done via phone, payments will also be processed over the phone. Call us on 8177-1275 Once your order is ready & you are here- give us a call, we will then place it on the telecommunication box out the front of our door. We thank you for your understanding & support. All online orders and deliveries will process as normal at this stage.

05.01.2022 [MK2 COOPER S HEAD/EXHAUST UPGRADE] We have just finished a power upgrade on this MK2 cooper S! It pulled 60hp at the wheels whilst being a nice to car drive. Head had: Extensive port & polish, match port the inlet manifold, lower the guides, big valves, convert to unleaded, new springs & fit 1.5:1 roller rockers. ... Combined with a new 2" extractor & 2" Maniflow side exit exhaust system. The motor already had a mild cam and 060 pistons fitted. To assist with starting a pre-engaged starter motor was also fitted. A fantastic Dyno tune done by Richard at Finch Restorations & the results are: 38HP @ 3000 42HP @ 4000 50HP @ 4500 53HP @ 5500 60HP @ 6000

01.01.2022 Today we remember our ANZACS. Today the celebrations were like nothing like we have seen before. I (Andrew) would like to share some pictures of my family honouring our service men and women. ... Picture of the solider is my late grandfather who served in PNG in WW2. Thats his jacket and his drink bottle. I would love to see how your driveway ANZAC day remembrance looked (with or without a mini/moke) Lest we forget.
