04.01.2022 Australian Alps Snow Depth has reached its Maximum Depth of 2.25 metres. Great Snow Season, with a stable and very cold classic winter. Now the fastest snow mel...t possible towards an Australian Summer of Heatwaves, Bushfires and extreme Temperatures up to 42-48 degrees, in Cities and low altitude places. This is just typical Australian Summer, nothing unusual! If you compare with 1960's or 1930's when snow depths where 2-3 meters max, it's all the same, just add extra urbanization and extra fire risks to property. In the mountains, it's rarely above 23 celsius above 1700msl, and low as 2-7 every night, and Mountain Biking or Fishing in mountain streams and lakes becomes the current theme. So many people in eastern coastal cities still don't know how comfortable it is the Australian Alps in Summer. They go to the beach and fry to a crisp, or sit in their houses with air con watching netflix.
