25.01.2022 Hello everyone, hopefully you have all enjoyed the holiday break Just a reminder canteen will be closed the first Monday back (29th April) & reopen for term 2 on Tuesday 30th so please remember to pack lunches the first day back. The canteen will only be open for recess in week 2, this is due to a general slow start to the school term. If any parents/caters are available to help out in canteen in the first 2 weeks of term, could you please let me know. There is no official roster due to changes in canteen management but I am still hoping to be able to keep things running smoothly in the interim which means volunteers are very much needed. Please let me know if there is a day you are able to assist me

24.01.2022 As part of our fundraising efforts (Xmas bake sale) Minnamunchies was able to raise $100 which was shared between a male (8-9 years) & female (5-6 years) for the Kmart Christmas wishing tree so proud of you guys for getting behind a worthy cause. These are the gifts I selected from Kiama toy world & will go along way to making 2 less fortunate children very happy this Xmas, thank you students & families of Minnamurra.

18.01.2022 Welcome back everyone, I hope you had a relaxing & safe holiday. Tomorrow school returns for most of us & I just wanted to touch base with a few things. Please find copy of the menu which remains unchanged from last term. There seems to be a general consensus that it’s working well, so I will look at changes as winter comes closer. Copies are available at the canteen for anyone that would like a hard copy. Recess will start next week, from experience the first week back is ...fairly slow, so I have decided to ease into it too! Scrolls will be back next week. Please mark in the diary that the canteen will be closed on the 6/2 for the school swimming carnival. And last but not least, I would still love to hear from anyone that is able to offer assistance at the canteen this term, I still have vacancies on the roster & welcome old & new faces who are willing to volunteer some time. 16.01.2022 It’s come time to bid you farewell for 2018! I hope you all end the year on a high & that everyone enjoys a safe & festive break over the summer. I look forward to seeing everyone fresh for term 1 2019. Once again thank you to the amazing group of volunteers & to all the families who support Minnamunchies.

13.01.2022 FYI, for all those who use Flexischools you will note that your child’s class hasn’t been updated from 2018 as of yet. I have submitted the new class list last for 2019 to Flexischools today but the change over will take a few days. In the mean time just order under the old class & I will manually change it in the canteen as I have a copy of each child’s new class. Hope that’s reasonably clear, if anyone has any issues please send me a message

10.01.2022 Hi all, as I’m sure your very well aware, the year is closing in on us very quickly! it’s been another busy but successful term. As I’m sure you can appreciate, the canteen needs a good overhaul in preparation for 2019 & as I am always busy preparing food in the kitchen, it gives me limited time to give the clean up the attention it deserves, so I’m hoping that everyone won’t mind too much if I close Minnamunchies a day earlier this term to give myself the last day to shut ...down properly. Therefore the last day for lunch orders will be Tuesday 18th December. Flexischools will be adjusted to reflect this but for those that don’t order online, please mark this in your diary as I don’t want anyone to go hungry on the Wednesday. 08.01.2022 Happy Friday all! For all those who had technical issues with Flexischools this morning, I’m sorry. This is the response I received FYI Flexischools experienced some technical issues on our website this morning and as result you may receive enquiries from parents who were unable to place an order. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding Everything should be back on track for Monday. Have a great weekend

07.01.2022 For any new parents commencing in 2019 or those that are yet to convert, this little clip might give you some insight into how online ordering works. It really is as simple as setting up an account with your details, linking in with MPS & topping up your credit, and away you go. Did you know you can set up a reoccurring order, for example if you know your child likes to have a chicken burger every Tuesday, you can set this up to automatically occur for you each Tuesday, you d...on't need to do anything else unless your preference changes. Also you can order school hats, keep cups and uniforms through flexischools as well. It really is that simple and convenient. Please note that when you order through flexischools you will receive a confirmation email about your order, this is to ensure you have records of the transaction. If you do not follow all the steps through to the end, including the submit button, it means the order has not been processed and your child's order will not be received at the canteen. If your child is unwell or not attending school on the day that the order has been placed, if you phone the school before 9am, the order can be cancelled and you will receive either a full refund or a credit note for lunch on another day of your choice. These goodies will be sold for $1 each at the canteen & the proceeds will go to the purchase of a male & female gift for under the Kmart wishing tree this year on behalf of the students at MPS. So make sure you send in your gold coins tomorrow & Tuesday to support a worthy cause

05.01.2022 Dear parents/carers & friends of Minnamunchies, I’m sure you would all be aware by now that this Friday is the end of an era for me. The journey & creation of Minnamunchies has been a labour of love for myself & Hana Singleton. We brought forward a dream to create a healthy school canteen and in the process created something that was about more than just food. The experience has been challenging, rewarding & honestly the best thing I have ever been a part of. I have loved ev...ery day & every opportunity to serve & get to know your children on a very personal level. The laughs, the tears, the ups & Downs have all been worth it. It’s time to close this chapter & start a new, as with everything in life, one door closes & another opens. I can’t thank MPS enough, for the love, support & kindness shown, from the volunteers who have devoted tirelessly their precious time for nothing more than a cup of tea & a big thank you, to the teachers & the kids who have also generously assisted me throughout the whole process. The canteen has always been about the kids, it belongs to them, they are the heart & soul of it all & I will miss them the most So before I close the shutters for the final time, I need to make sure everyone knows that the canteen will close temporarily while the new tenders get themselves ready. Flexischools will be shut down in the interim, so please be prepared to send your children to school with lunch next week & until notified otherwise. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will take so many amazing memories with me & I know that whatever happens, I have been blessed to be part of it all. Xoxo See more
