25.01.2022 A preview for everyone following us. I would like to introduce to you, the prototype of my hand sanding invention. It's taken a little under a year to get to this point, but hopefully the finished product will be ready within a couple of weeks. This doesn't use sandpaper, and keeps your workpiece incredible flat throughout the process.... And evidently it cuts very very fast! Stay tuned https://youtu.be/IJvc-UgFE9U

24.01.2022 Do you hate hand sanding knives? 2.0 Please read! Hi everyone. going on from my previous post a couple weeks ago, I have made a new video showing the hand sanding pads in action.... This was filmed in real time on an un-hardened (soft) RWL-34 blade. I finished on the belt grinder at 220 grit and moved onto a 150 grit hand sanding pad and progressed to 240 and finally 400 grit. The previous videos you saw were on a hardened RWL-34 blade. The hand sanding pads are incredibly fast at cutting steel and provide a good surface finish to refine with sandpaper. The hand sanding pads are made of a diamond like abrasive, that is distributed throughout the entire thickness of the plate (3mm). this means that as you wear through the plate, fresh abrasive is revealed and the cycle continues. Because of this, The plates are guaranteed to last 5 years of use as long as they are looked after and the owner has kept up to date with the instructions of care. The Handles are 6061 Aluminium anodised black and are individually laser etched. How I tend to use them is in conjunction with sand paper. The hand sanding pads get things nice and flat very quickly, and then I use sandpaper on a rubber backing to remove scratches in hard to reach places like the plunge line. Although, you can sand an entire blade without using sandpaper at all. You can find the pre-order on my website at www.minnocreek.com.au under the tools section. The pre-order will end on the 31st of July, and will then take approximately 2 months for them to be finished and ready to be sent out. I should add that they will be dispatched according to whoever ordered first, so first in best dressed. The following grits will be available: 120, 150, 240, 400 There are 2 options! Option 1: $120 A single 120 grit hand sanding pad. This is designed for rapid removal of metal in preparation for the finer grits. I am offering this as a single grit so you can give it a try and then decide whether you would like a full set or not. The 120 grit hand sanding pad is incredibly fast! Option 2: $400 This will consist of a full kit of 120, 150, 240, 400 grit hand sanding pads. As you're purchasing a large amount, there is a 20% or $80 discount applied. Once they are completed, you will be prompted to pay the remaining 50% and delivery cost via paypal or bank deposit.
