01.01.2022 Lavender 'The Oil of Communication' One of the most used essential oils. Lavender aids verbal expression. On an emotional level it calms the insecurities that are felt when one risks their true thoughts and feelings. Lavender addresses a deep fear of being seen and heard. Some ways I like to use my Lavender:... I like to diffuse it with a few drops of Vetiver to help with the transition to the land of deep sleep. I give the kids a lavender foot massage in carrier oil to calm them down in the evening, pop a drop or two on their pillows. Calm down after a tense day, add a cup of Epsom salts to the bath with a few drops of Lavender and a little milk to help disperse the oil. Take The Ouch Out. One drop of Lavender will help relieve the pain and sensitivity of, dry or chapped lips, occasional scrapes and abrasions, or after too much sun. I also like to add some to the playdough for the kids, they will get the calming effects of the oils while they play! Also works great for soothing insect bites
