21.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that the Mint Dental Care team will be back to operating under Level 2 restrictions from Monday 4th of May. The Federal Government announced this week that restrictions on dental practices will be eased. This means we are moving to Level 2 restrictions and additional treatments will be possible including:... - Examinations - Fillings under rubber dam isolation - Non surgical extractions - Root canal treatment Unfortunately we are unable to provide cleans during this time. We are committed to your safety and will continue with our enhanced protocols with regards to infection control and ask that you assist us by delaying your appointment if you have flu like symptoms (High temperature, coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath) and to use hand sanitiser on arrival and prior to leaving the practice. We thank you for your continued understanding and support during this time.

17.01.2022 To our valued patients and our local community, Being registered as a COVID Safe Business and upon advice from the Australian Dental Association please note the following update to our practice: Providing medical care (including dental care) to the community is considered an essential reason for leaving home under stay-at-home orders. As per NSW Government health advice, the community should not be leaving their homes unless it is for an essential reason. This advice does... not relate to the risk of transmission within dental practice, even though we are currently at Level 1 Restrictions, that is, no limitations on procedures for screened patients; we will however assess each individual needs and prioritise for essential treatment. This requires the assessment of risk and deferring care if necessary. Currently all checkups and cleans are being deferred. Once the lockdown is lifted, our dentists will be working additional days to limit the delay to your treatment. All patients and those who accompany the patient (parent/guardian) with symptoms of fever, coughs, sore throat, runny nose and/or difficulty breathing will be asked to not attend their appointment. If you have been in areas of high-risk exposures (please stay regularly updated with NSW health alert of venues) please do not attend and follow the advice of NSW Health. On the day of your appointment Only one patient and those accompanying the patient will be permitted in the waiting room at a time. You may be asked to wait outside. Every patient and those accompanying the patient will have their temperature taken by a touch-less thermometer, readings above 37.5 degrees Celsius will be asked to defer treatment and seek medical advice. Please use the hand sanitiser on our reception desk or alternatively wash your hands with soap at our restroom. Please adhere to signs in our reception area regarding coughing etiquette and hand hygiene. In the treatment room An antiseptic mouth rinse will be provided for you to use prior to all treatment. Rubberdam isolation will be used for all procedures where possible. Thank you for your understanding and assistance. Together we will help reduce the spread of COVID19.

14.01.2022 We have now moved into Level 1 restrictions in NSW for dental treatment. This means if you have no cough, fever, sore throat or other symptoms, we can see you for all dental treatment. We are still taking precautions and using full PPE and asking patients to use a pre-procedural mouth rinse and hand sanitiser, but we are so excited to be able to treat all our patients again. 11.01.2022 Due to the increasing rates of COVID-19 infection, our priority is to protect our patients and the wider community. There is a high risk of transmitting COOVID-19 in a dental environment and we also know that asymptomatic healthy patients can carry and transmit the disease. Our goal at Mint Dental Care has always been to work in the best interest of our patients, and due to the nature of COVID-19, we do not see how we can conduct our normal practices and keep our patients and... our staff safe. Because of this, we are postponing all non-urgent dental appointments and we hope that you will be understanding about the reason why we are doing this. We will be only seeing patients who have TRAUMA, INFECTION or are in PAIN. We will be available for telephone consultations and help you remotely triage emergencies and also post out prescriptions for medications and dental products. During this time, all telephone consultations will be free of charge. If you do need to attend our surgery, we have implemented additional precautions including use of a hydrogen peroxide mouthrinse and disinfection of all surfaces including the reception and waiting area after all patients. Hand sanitiser is available for all patients to use upon entry to the practice. THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR PATIENTS This is a difficult and uncertain time for our family practice and all small businesses.
