14.01.2022 We're committing every donation made in June (via our website) to creating FREE LGBTQIA+ education for regional and rural schools. Every tax-deductible dollar, going towards equipping students, teachers and communities with the knowledge to stand out against discrimination. But why? As we found while creating our Queer Out Here Report, there's absolutely a need. 78% of students and teachers reported witnessing regular negative comments about LGBTQIA+ people at their school, a...nd 88% of LGBTQIA+ youth said they wanted their teachers to more actively stand out against negative behaviour. But! We also found 98% of teachers felt more confident doing just that after undertaking our training. So why WOULDN'T we head out and provide our training + education for free? That's where we need your help. And that's why every donation made during June will be going to fund these student workshops and adult training. Make a tax-deductible donation via minus18.org.au/donate

14.01.2022 NAIDOC Week ends today, but let's be real the acknowledgement, recognition and appreciation of our First Nations people should really be happening all the time, not just during one specific week. Who are the custodians and traditional owners of the land you're on? If you're in a position to do so, are you paying the rent? Are you amplifying First Nations voices? There's over 65,000 years of amazing history here, and sovereignty was never ceded. This always was, and always will be Aboriginal land. naidoc.org.au
