19.01.2022 WE ARE MOVING SOON!......AGAIN! Ok guys, since we are out of time and the community did help spread the word that we needed a new premises we’ve decided we ...WILL sign the Subaru lease tomorrow (even if it’s possibly only for six months) then in the meantime endeavour to line up a bigger premises to merge over too at end of lease if we are not able to renew on albatross road. We will however be at our old address 5/10 central ave south Nowra until 28/8/20 then re-open at albatross road ON the 31st of this month. Thankyou everyone that tried, but we are out of time and patience for now But Let’s keep trying in the meantime! We have sooooo much new furniture stock available we are saving for the grand opening! See you all there!!! REMEMBER OUR NEW HOURS AS IF NOW IS 10am to 4pm WEEKDAYS. A huge special mention to Jemay Ashley, Greg Braddick , Michael Alliston for helping me move 8 metric tonne of water, a further 2tonne of furniture this week so we could hand back the top shed and not have next months rent owing on it! And of course Penny Gray for running the op-shop while we get it all done.

14.01.2022 OK shoalhaven, WE NEED A MEDIC NOW! .LAST POST! MUST READ! BIGGER backup building fell through at this stage and Subaru on Albatross roads leas...e is less than ideal, with no luck on getting it changed. Here’s where I’m at: I don’t feel comfortable signing if there is a better option in one months time or right afterwards, where we can stay long term and don’t have to go through this shifting again! This will be the 3rd time and it’s exhausting! I have personally spoken to our landlord today and he is happy for us to stay put for a bit longer until we find somewhere suitable -Only catch is we can’t walk people up to warehouse anymore so basically our INCOME WILL STOP if we don’t do something drastic and soon regardless!im thinking $30 takings each day without furniture doesn’t warrant resuscitation. 1* There’s no point the op-shop just existing if we can’t afford to help the people that need it after just paying the bills! (For example not being able to supply Bomaderry football club a new fridge today for free because we are short on space and have sold them all as they wouldnt have fit in next building)-stuff like that. 2* I KNOW we need AT LEAST 500m to not outgrow it within 3 weeks -just based on the furniture we’ve picked up this week. -Not even including the 50 metric tonnes I have on standby (with no where to store it). 3* My vision when I first started this was: I want a building big enough to have 20 fridges/20 freezers, basically 20 OF EVERYTHING! so that when the community need something NOW there’s non of this ohhh do we have 1 suitable rubbish that we did today! I want to KNOW it’s there, all I should be asking the people in need is what colour would u like? Having said that we also want enough stock on hand to do a whole town if needed! INSTANTLY and for FREE! But I NEED the space! * So I’m giving it this weekend and till Wednesday morning 10am for SOMEONE SOMEWHERE to fluke us something 300m + (preferably 500 + so we never have to move again) not only that, for $2000 a month or under -as anything over that price would be pointless for us to exist as all we would be doing is existing rather than continuing to help EVERYONE in the community. What we do: Fire relief-free/food/clothing and furniture, Helping homeless, supplying vinnies permanent resettlement furniture, helping domestic violence, donating emergency furniture to southern cross housing, supplying free bottled water to nearly every event plus any natural disaster thrown our way. You see what I mean. It’s a long shot, but once again it’s the ONLY shot I have left. ***Come Wednesday, we will decide wether the community cares enough to rain the internet with likes/comments and shares therefore guiding us to sign regardless, or alternatively CLOSE THE OP-SHOP DOORS FOR GOOD. spending the last remaining money in accounts (rather than bond) to buy one last 40ft container and put every last remaining thing into fire relief storage. THINGS THAT HAVE RECENTLY CHANGED: *We are now fully ACNC certified! so there are probably government incentives for landlords renting to us (or donating us space) now where as before there wasn’t we have worked HARD every hour of the day to keep this good thing going! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! LET THIS NOT FALL ON DEAF EARS- I’m hoping someone /somewhere is reading this post and realising this is the very LAST CHANCE to change Nowras stars! You’ve seen how much we have achieved with only 3 full time unpaid volunteers and one 70m weekday op-shop! Now let us show u what we can do with 500m! NO ONE IN THIS TOWN WILL GO WITHOUT!

10.01.2022 MONTHLY GROUP UPDATE! Sorry guys, we have unfortunately lost a few days progress already due to having to arrange gearbox swap out ourselves (as usual no mechan...ics wanted a bar of it ) -alas we expect quite a few more days/week before we have time to complete the install as there’s only so much free Volenteers Michael Alliston and i can do in 12 hour days Update: Our $760 gearbox is coming from Victoria (hopefully through border without hinderance) and clutch can’t be ordered till gearbox our and pressure plate is taken off to identify wether it’s single/dual mass before we can even order that $1400 replacement. Please bare with us. if you are still waiting on emergency essentials we haven’t forgotten you! just doing 17 trips (-equivalent to normally 2 truck loads) to Tapitallee and back, emptying last storage space takes time it doesn’t happen magically as some would like to think and there’s only 2 of us capable of doing heaving lifting every day and overlooking every aspect 24/7 -if anyone has any ideas that may help speed up the process, we give u permission to ask on our behalf. I fear we won’t have time to even comment let alone sit on the phone for hours chasing up every aspect of already attempted failed leads. 09.01.2022 As most of you know we close the Minute by Minute Disaster Relief Op-Shop & furniture warehouse Wednesday’s so that we can keep helping the community in need wi...th ALL the money we raise in store (yes 100% back to the community) today was no different. After hearing from a long time group supporter Karen Flentjar that a man had moved into a unit next to hers just last week. He had been robbed and assaulted! no belongings whatsoever apart from a table and lounge another unit resident and herself had personally donated The 3 musketeers leaped into action. Penny Gray organised all homewares, kitchenware, sheets, all kitchen/electrical items. Michael Alliston and I put together a monster van load from our Minute by Minute Disaster Relief Inc emergency stock including everything an empty house would need. From sink plug -all beds/furniture even white goods. We then loaded the Op-shop van to the hilt (yes the truck is off the road again, fuel injectors now. go figure.) whipped together a weeks food/water rations along with everything he needs to prepare from home, chucked in a new phone, wallet and $100 gift card (incase we forgot something) to make up for the items stolen, high tailed it to his location, met up with a few other worried residents and piled it up in front of his garage for a return home surprise for him. -Then basically got the hell out of there incase he was one of those don’t take help sorts Thankyou all for your constant support through our ONE AND ONLY Minute by minute OP-SHOP @3/57 albatross road nowra.
