19.01.2022 **Anniversary Shoot announcement** We regret to inform you all that this morning we've made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming anniversary shoot (thi...s is the first time in our 32-year history!) This difficult decision has been made in response to uncertainty around COVID-19 and increasing travel restrictions . As a club and committee of management we believe that we have a moral obligation to protect our members and the wider local community - it was not easy, but we believe that it's the right thing to do. We wish to thank you all and our valued sponsors for your continued support. We hope to see you back again very soon - but in the meantime, we'll get cracking on planning a bigger and better anniversary event for 2021! We appreciate your understanding at this time - we're just as disappointed as you are!

18.01.2022 Hi all, it's been a long time since we've posted anything, as there hasn't been much going on at the club. So here is a little update. We were hoping not so long ago that we might be able to hold some sort of Anniversary Shoot still this month, but clearly that is now out of the question and it is perhaps unlikely we will get shooting again this year. But things are changing constantly and quickly, so we'll see how we go. The health of our club members, community member...s and patrons is paramount to us during this crisis, so we want to make sure when we do go back shooting it's safe to do so. We also want to make sure that it's still an enjoyable and social day out for patrons, which would have been difficult under the conditions so far. The club will get back to shooting regularly at some point though, and Field & Game Australia is still advocating on behalf of shooters every day, so your membership is still important to us. With that in mind, there are a few members that haven't paid this years membership yet, and we'd ask that you check to see if you are still paid up, or renew your membership as we'd love to have you stick with us. Many thanks, and we'll try and find something to post about more often. Hopefully a shoot in the not too distant future!

08.01.2022 Sadly the club had to make the decision a while ago to cancel this years School Shoot due to Covid19. October won't be the same without it, but then again what has been the same this year I suppose. Hopefully this time next year we'll be busy gearing up for another big School Shoot at Minyip! The club has also decided not to run our 75 target October shoot on the Sunday, and we look forward to further easing of restrictions, allowing us to get back shooting under more soc...ial conditions, hopefully later this year. Fingers crossed! In the mean time, stay safe everyone!

07.01.2022 As long as we comply with social distancing and travel restrictions, jogging, surfing, one-on-one personal training and basketball are okay So why is all recrea...tional hunting and fishing banned even for country people who don’t need to do unnecessary travel to get to their nearest reserve, wetland, lake or river? I’m not advocating for people to travel long distances. This is for people who already live in these communities. We must all keep in mind the advice to stay at home, but surely we can also apply some common sense? LIKE or SHARE if you agree #vicnats #community
