25.01.2022 My volunteers and I have not stopped fighting for Freo all day! One hour to go. Vote Liberal locally.
23.01.2022 Along with the Shadow Minister for Ports and Transport Libby Mettam, I am calling on the McGowan Labor Government to front the Fremantle community to answer questions regarding the process and outcomes of the Westport Report. https://fb.watch/1YvL9t1KPX/
23.01.2022 Great news for our local businesses and employees who are doing it tough. Today the Governments expansion and extension of the JobKeeper Program passed the Parliament. You can get more information about the Governments Economic Response to the Coronavirus at: https://treasury.gov.au/coronavirus/resources
23.01.2022 Cam you help the Police with their investigation?
23.01.2022 There are some amazing local small and family businesses here in Freo! I caught up with Shirley and Nina at Bob's Shoe Store to hear about the Christmas trading period and for some of my own retail therapy . Why not head down to Fremantle this weekend and make a start on your Christmas gift list! Fremantle needs a representative in State Parliament who will address the underlying issues which are impacting business and consumer confidence. I am fighting for more local police to keep our businesses and our community safe. #fighting4freo
22.01.2022 Doorknocking in North Coogee today! There were two consistent issues that local residents raised with me: building Roe 8&9 for better access to our southern suburbs and a safer, more efficient commute. crime and community safety. Our community deserves to feel safe. I will continue to advocate for more local Police and the construction of a fit-for-purpose local Police Station, which does not hinder future economic and social development opportunities. ... #fighting4freo
21.01.2022 Missed me yesterday? Catch up and hear how Roe 8&9 will create thousands of local jobs and get 74,000 cars and 7,000 trucks off our local roads every day!
21.01.2022 We have so many amazing local small and family businesses here in #Freo! Meet Graeme from Expert Carpet Cleaning, who has run his business locally since 1993. Graeme and his team do commercial and domestic carpet and tile cleaning all around our suburbs (including refresher cleans after furry dogs named Yoda!) If that wasnt enough to keep him busy, Graeme is also the President of the Carpet Cleaning Association of WA! I will fight to cut red tape for local small and family b...usiness owners like Graeme, who are the lifeblood of our local economy. #fighting4freo #golocalfirst #supportlocalbusiness You can learn more about Graemes business here: https://www.expertcarpetcleaning.com.au/about-us/
20.01.2022 Two minutes until polling closes! Vote Liberal locally.
19.01.2022 How about those bulldogs?! another great afternoon here in #Freo.
19.01.2022 Our community deserves better than a flawed report which lacks transparency.
19.01.2022 Grateful to have the support of my parents who came up from Tassie to support my #fight4freo.
18.01.2022 Legacy WA provides support to Australian families after the death of a spouse or parent during or after their military service. Their vital work ensures that around 52,000 beneficiaries dont suffer financial or social stress following the death of a loved one. You can support this very worthy cause in #Freo tomorrow by buying a badge or by making a donation.
18.01.2022 A win for local advocacy and for the safety of our community! While Im thrilled to hear the announcement that a new Police Station will be built in Fremantle, questions still remain around the suitability of the proposed site and why the McGowan Labor Government underwent a lengthy tender process - only to reject the three shortlisted shovel-ready proposals and leave local developers out of pocket. The design and construction of the Police Station in Fremantle must commenc...e as a matter of priority, for the safety of our local community and our hardworking Police Officers. I will always fight for transparency in government processes and for local jobs in our electorate. https://www.watoday.com.au//government-pledges-more-than-5 #fighting4freo #buildthestation #communitysafetyisnotoptional
17.01.2022 Yesterday I joined with fellow veterans to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day at the RSL - City of Cockburn Sub-Branch. 60,000 Australians served in Vietnam and we honour their service and sacrifice. #lestweforget
17.01.2022 Some volunteers get extra special treatment. What a bloke!
16.01.2022 There are serious concerns from the local community surrounding the transparency and independence of the Westport Report. I am calling on the McGowan Labor Government to hold a community forum on the outcomes and recommendations of the Westport Report, given the significant impact that moving the port from Fremantle will have on our economy and on local jobs. #fighting4freo... https://heraldonlinejournal.com/20//27/port-funds-slashed/
16.01.2022 Do you want to build your confidence on a bike and meet with likeminded people? 15.01.2022 A lot has been said about state-level political representation in #Freo recently. My statement below shares the facts on school funding, Fremantle Port, the Police Station and homelessness services in our district #fighting4freo
14.01.2022 The McGowan Labor Government has wasted $10 million of taxpayers money on a report which lacks transparency. The Westport Report was meant to provide guidance on Perths long-term infrastructure needs. With record high unemployment in WA and an above average unemployment rate in #Freo before COVID-19, we need a jobs plan now! The Roe 8/9 project will create thousands of local jobs, at a time when it is needed most. I will always fight for local jobs in Fremantle. #fighting4freo #buildtheroe
13.01.2022 Who wore it better? #voteliberallocally
12.01.2022 The Prime Minister has announced Australians will be among the first in the world to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, with every single Australian able to receive the University of Oxford COVID-19 vaccine for free, should trials prove successful, safe and effective.
11.01.2022 Today I got to catch up with Dr Garnett Hall at the Fremantle Animal Hospital. Dr Garnett and his brother Dr Max have brought their vet skills to the burbs, from their already established West Coast Vets Clinic in Forrestdale. They opened their Freo practice in March and while their clients here are a little smaller, you can still expect the same care and attention from their staff for your pet. Like many of our residents and local small business owners, Garnett is concerned about crime and the lack of support those who are homeless in our community. I will continue to fight for more police and for support for our must vulnerable community members. #fighting4freo #supportsmallbusiness
11.01.2022 Dont forget you can catch me tomorrow at Papercup South Freo with Bill Marmion - Member for Nedlands, Shadow Minister for Local Government from 1030. I want to hear about the local issues that are important to you.
10.01.2022 It was great to meet with some #Freo locals at this mornings Community Catch-Up with the Shadow Minister for Local Government, Bill Marmion - Member for Nedlands. Local residents told me they are concerned about Labors plan to close the Fremantle Port, the high levels of crime and anti-social behaviour in our suburbs and the cost of residential council rates. We also got to meet with some local small and family business owners and employees from Papercup South Freo and Instyle Shoes and Accessories to listen to the issues that are important to them. I will continue to fight for our local small and family business owners, to cut red tape so that they can focus on their core business and employ more people in local jobs! #fighting4freo #jobsjobsjobs #supportlocalbusiness
10.01.2022 Last week, we said our final goodbyes to our little Yoda. While he was only with us for a short time, he lived his adventurous doggy life to the fullest. We were incredibly fortunate to have been supported by lots of small and family businesses who always showed him the same love and care that we did! A huge thank you to: Dr Michael and Dr Jess at Hamilton Hill Veterinary Hospital... The puppy training experts at Spearwood Veterinary Hospital Charlotte, dog-sitter extraordinaire from PetFriends-Pet Carers Perth Amanda and the girls at Happy Tails Dog Day Care Dr Albert, Dr Garnett and Hollie at the Fremantle Animal Hospital Lee and the team at Passing Paws Pet Cremations See more
09.01.2022 Congratulations to Simone McGurk MLA for her win in Fremantle tonight. I wish her every success in continuing to represent our Freo community. Congratulations also to Liberty Cramer, Greens candidate for Fremantle on an exceptionally good campaign. A highlight of this campaign for me has been the strong representation of female candidates across the southern suburbs and across all parties.
08.01.2022 This week is National Child Protection Week, with the theme Putting Children First. Despite the Minister for Child Protection openly professing her support for child protection, the facts speak for themselves: Fact: 7 West Australian children who are victims of sexual abuse, are currently forced to attend the same school as their perpetrators. Fact: 7 people accused or convicted of sex crimes were able to work with children for an average of six months, before being den...ied Working with Children Cards. Fact: 53 people were able to work with children for an average of six months, before being denied Working with Children Cards. Cumulatively, these people worked with children for a total of 14,192 days before their applications were rejected. Fact: There is a registered sex offender living among the community in Subiaco, awaiting sentencing in NSW for historical sex crimes against his stepdaughters. Why does the McGowan Labor Government refuse to afford appropriate protections to our children? Along with my Liberal colleagues, I will continue to fight for West Australian children to ensure that our most vulnerable community members are given the protections they deserve. #puttingchildrenfirst
08.01.2022 Back at the mighty South Fremantle Football Club with the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce tonight, meeting local residents, employees and business owners. I even picked up the lucky door prize! #straighttothepoolroom #carnthedogs

06.01.2022 Our state has the second highest unemployment rate in the country and our small and family-run businesses are bearing the brunt, yet WA is still the only State without a $10,000 grant to help those who are struggling under the weight of COVID-19. I will continue to fight for our local small and family business owners to get the support they need during this difficult time. Show your support. Sign the petition: https://www.petition.org.au/support-wa-business/ #fighting4freo
04.01.2022 For 16 days in November and December, the community is invited to take a part in a major effort to encourage change to stop violence against women. Now in its fourth year, 16 Days in WA draws inspiration from the global movement for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence to drive a change in culture, behaviour and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children. Together we can make a difference.... F ind out morehttps://www.communities.wa.gov.au/projects/16-days-in-wa/ See more
04.01.2022 Why does the McGowan Labor Government refuse to provide WA Police with adequate staffing levels? The Fremantle Police District is understaffed by five police at any given time: that means five less boots on the ground to keep you, your family, your business and your community safe. I am fighting for more police in Fremantle and a fit-for-purpose police station so that our hardworking officers have the resources they need to do their job. #fighting4freo #communitysafetyisnotoptional

01.01.2022 Giving my office a spruce up before we open to the community. #fighting4freo
01.01.2022 Wafa is a local resident and entrepreneur who has just launched her Facebook page for The Sustainable Community Club. I had the opportunity to meet with her recently and learn more about her vision for sustainable living and how we can work to individually reduce our footprint on the planet. Im looking forward to following Wafas progress as her sustainable community develops right here in Fremantle!
01.01.2022 Where is the transparency? Why was this decision made without any industry consultation? I will always fight for transparency and accountability in our community. https://www.facebook.com/345612838830323/posts/3459851304073112/
01.01.2022 Don't forget, the office is open during the week! Pop in and tell me about the local issues that are important to you. #fighting4freo
