24.01.2022 A nice mild summer has produced some excellent growth in this years young apple and cherry grafted trees. Only 2 weeks away from the beginning of this years apple and cherry bare rooted tree pre-sales!

20.01.2022 After struggling most of the season trying to control mearly bugs in the hothouse, I’ve decided to try a biological control with Green lacewing and Cryptolaemus, and exclusion of ants by banding plant benches with horticultural glue. Hopefully this will achieve some better results in reducing Mearly bug damage.

14.12.2021 Always watchful when netting trees as the apple trees seem to be a favourite place for small birds to nest. Last year was finches and this year what looks like a blue wren nest. Luckily it is a cider apple tree and will be left un-netted.
