21.01.2022 ***IMPORTANT update regarding our NurtureGroups*** The health and safety of our miracle babies and their families is our priority and to continue to deliver our vision during this health risk in the safest ways possible. With great disappointment, Miracle Babies have made the decision to suspend all NurtureGroups Australia wide for the next fortnight with a view of reassessing circumstances each fortnight. Families needing support over this time, please register on the link... below to our NurtureTime Online sessions and connect with other families across Australia. We will however continue to offer support for miracle families in the following ways: NurtureLine 1300 622 243 (1300 MBABIES) will remain available and accessible 24 hours 7 days a week. In light of most Neonatal Intensive Care Units being closed to only parental visitors, we will be offering several weekly NurtureTime Online sessions. Our NurtureProgram teams will be conducting these live sessions for all families nationally to connect and be supported during these difficult times. If you are a NICU or SCN family and wish to register, please do so here: https://miraclebabies.org.au//register-for-nurturetime-on/ Continue to wash hands (with water, soap and for 20 seconds), avoid large gatherings, self-isolate as much as possible and follow the guidelines of your local state health departments.Stay safe, take care and reach out if you need. #miraclebabies #prematurebabies #sicknewborns #NICU #SCN #selfisolate #washhands #NurtureGroup #NurtureTime #NurtureLine

20.01.2022 ***SURVEY, Can you help?*** The aim of this study, called COHESION, is to develop a Core Outcome Set for use in research studies of treatments for neonatal encephalopathy. Neonatal encephalopathy is a condition that can occur in newborn infants when they have had a lack of oxygen, and this can cause complications with the infants brain. Neonatal encephalopathy is one of the leading causes of brain injury in newborn infants.... How do I know if I can take part in this study? You can take part in this study if you are over 18 years of age and are a parent or other family member who care, or have cared for, an infant who has been diagnosed with and received treatment for neonatal encephalopathy. What will I have to do? If you are interested in taking part in this study, please email us at [email protected] and we can send you on a Participant Information Leaflet that gives more detail on this study. If you agree to take part in this study, we would like to ask you some questions. This is called a research interview. The interview will be done via a video call, using a video conferencing software called Zoom. The interview will take place at a day and time that suits you.
