21.01.2022 JB behaving calmly at the coffee shop. Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs are certified to be safe and effective in public places. We recently saw a dog sitting on a seat at a pub. The seat was at the table. That is not socially acceptable behaviour for any dog.

21.01.2022 Baxter (brown), JB and Digger (w/ toys) enjoyed a relaxing day in the office yesterday. We had the air conditioning on cool and Digger found an unusual way to keep warm. Lol.

17.01.2022 Coco (12 weeks old) went shopping at Bunnings today. Barb was able to use a trolley for the quick growing puppy. Savvy shopper. Lol.

17.01.2022 Coco's trip today is Redhead Beach. Coco is being carried until she is fully vaccinated. 12 weeks old and loving seeing the world around her. She will love it so much more when she can run in the sand and splash in the water at a dog friendly beach.

17.01.2022 Hi everyone, Please share this post. JB (John Boy) is 2 yrs old and ready to be placed with a suitable applicant. He is a medium sized Australian Labradoodle. ... JB loves opening doors and drawers using rope. He finds items he knows the name of. Plus lots more. His personality is intelligent and keen to learn. He loves a free run and playing in water and squeaky toys. JB is $25,000 plus ongoing annual fees of $1, 703.35 for his working life. (Fees may change without notice). 16.01.2022 Shaddow has worked well for her owner, Andrew. However, she will be retiring soon and Andrew is scared. Andrew did a job that many of us can't do. He was with the State Emergency Services until he attended a job that broke his heart and spirit. After seeing years of serious car accidents he reached his limit and Post Traumatic Stress took over. Suddenly Andrew had trouble speaking without shaking. He stayed home and was afraid of leaving. Migraines became a part of his life.... Then he got Shaddow, his Miracle Assistance Dog and a new life. He left the house with her by his side and started his journey towards a freer life. Shopping became possible. Shaddow let's Andrew know when his anxiety is peeking and then leads him to the exit or a familiar place. Sadly it is nearly time for Shaddow to retire and Andrew wonders how he will cope. He has a way to go with therapies and knows he will struggle without Shaddow by his side. So, he needs a new Miracle to enter his life. That will cost $25,000 and that's more than he can find alone. 13.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Deanna and Cookie on passing the Public Access Test today. They have been a working Assistance Dog team for the past 6 years. So this is their third PAT together. Cookie was outstanding today as she demonstrated some of her many tasks. Taking off Deanna's sock was pretty impressive. She didn't run away with it. Lol.

13.01.2022 Congratulations go to Kevin and his Miracle Assistance Dog named DD. This team have been working for three years already and it is time to renew their Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs public access test. They have successfully passed the test and are able to continue with DD providing regular assistance to Kevin to lessen the effects of his disability. Well done team.

12.01.2022 This little puppy went to market. Coco is getting out to see the world. Soon she will have her final vaccination. Two weeks later she will be all clear to walk around these places on leash. Then we will see more of Coco. Literally. Barb, GHAD Puppy Carer, does a great job capturing photos while nursing this increasingly heavier, squirming puppy.

10.01.2022 Coco met up with a friend of Miracle Assistance Dogs. Dylan participated in a program where people living with disabilities helped us train our dogs. Sadly the program closed due to a lack of funding. So we are thrilled that Coco met Dylan.

08.01.2022 Mia worked her magic when visiting her handler in hospital over the Christmas period. She brought smiles to the faces of hospital staff, patients and visitors just by being there.

07.01.2022 We have a rare opportunity for a special kind of person. We need another Puppy Carer. Puppy Carer's are special people. These generous people welcome a puppy into their home for 12 months. While we provide all of the puppies food and Veterinary care, the Puppy Carer provides all the love. Volunteer Puppy Carer's need to attend a training session weekly and learn how to raise and train a future Miracle Assistance Dog. Training is at East Maitland, NSW.... They take the puppy out every day and make sure they are ready to work in the wider community.
