23.01.2022 God gave Jeremiah a message of comfort and blessing in a dream. The final statement that God made was that He will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. At this time Jeremiah wakes up with sweet thoughts of the message. We find in this message God’s desire to see you restored. You might have been disciplined by God for your wrong ways. You might have had to face a lot of losses because of your sinful backsliding. And all your efforts to have a steady walk with God might ha...ve failed. Because of all this you might have grown weary and also faint. But God wishes to restore you. You might think that it is impossible. But God thinks differently. Why not hold on to this promise of God. Tell God that you are basing your confidence on the promise of His word that He will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. The important thing that is quite often overlooked is that this promise does not apply to those who have some strength left in themselves. As long as you are struggling on your own it is impossible for this promise to become effective in your life. It can be safely said that all the years of defeat and shame and a sense of worthlessness that accompanied them were only to bring you to the point of no struggle. That means you have now qualified to be the beneficiary of this promise. Now with that pleasant feel that Jeremiah woke up with receive this precious promise: Be refreshed and be satisfied! #HolySpirit #australiaforchrist #dailydevotional #dailyBiblereading #mylordandsavior #churchmelbourne #livingmanna#dailymanna #2020To2021 #HappyNewYear#HolySpiritLead #apostolic #pentecostal #christianmusic #christian #bible #Melbournechristians #aussiechristians #PrayforAustralia #PrayfortheWorld #DailyBibleInspirations #dailybibleverse #DailyBibleReading #biblestudy
19.01.2022 The 100th Psalm opens with an invitation to the whole earth to joyfully praise the Lord, serve Him, and worship Him in song. The Lord is described as the Creator of the people as well as their Shepherd. The psalmist summons everyone to enter the temple with thanksgiving and praise. He describes the Lord as good, having love that is steadfast forever and faithfulness that stretches from generation to generation. Psalm 100:35 acknowledges that God deserves our submission, than...kfulness, and praise. Not only is He our Creator, He also shows unfailing love and faithfulness. #HolySpirit #australiaforchrist #dailydevotional #dailyBiblereading #mylordandsavior #churchmelbourne #livingmanna#dailymanna #2020To2021 #HappyNewYear#HolySpiritLead #apostolic #pentecostal #christianmusic #christian #bible #Melbournechristians #aussiechristians #PrayforAustralia #PrayfortheWorld #DailyBibleInspirations #dailybibleverse #DailyBibleReading #biblestudy
17.01.2022 Matthew 5:112 contains the beautiful Beatitudes delivered by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount. The series of nine sentences describes an unlikely group of people as blessed: the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those hungry for righteousness, and the merciful. All are blessed because of their part in the kingdom of heaven. This includes those persecuted for the sake of righteousness and on account of Jesus. Instead of despairing, they should rejoice for the great r...ewards they will receive in heaven. These are not prerequisites for salvation; instead, they are the natural expressions of saving faith in the life of those who know Christ. #HolySpirit #australiaforchrist #dailydevotional #dailyBiblereading #mylordandsavior #churchmelbourne #livingmanna#dailymanna #2020To2021 #HappyNewYear#HolySpiritLead #apostolic #pentecostal #christianmusic #christian #bible #Melbournechristians #aussiechristians #PrayforAustralia #PrayfortheWorld #DailyBibleInspirations #dailybibleverse #DailyBibleReading #biblestudy
14.01.2022 Psalm 24:710 calls upon Jerusalem to welcome the Messiah. The original audience of the psalm likely heard these words while being encouraged to welcome the ark's return to Jerusalem (2 Samuel 6). Matthew 21:111 offers a preview of Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem at His second coming (Revelation 19:1116). At that time Jesus, the King of glory, will be king over all the earth (Zechariah 14:9). #HolySpirit #australiaforchrist #dailydevotional #dailyBiblereading #mylordandsavior #churchmelbourne #livingmanna#dailymanna #2020To2021 #HappyNewYear#HolySpiritLead #apostolic #pentecostal #christianmusic #christian #bible #Melbournechristians #aussiechristians #PrayforAustralia #PrayfortheWorld #DailyBibleInspirations #dailybibleverse #DailyBibleReading #biblestudy
13.01.2022 Paul responds to the Corinthians' over-emphasis on certain spiritual gifts by showing them that all gifts are worthless if not practiced through godly love. Paul provides 14 descriptors of love, all action verbs, all choices made out of a commitment to set self aside and serve others. Choosing to love each other in this way would solve many of the problems Paul has confronted in this letter. The spiritual gifts provide a glimpse of what is knowable, but when the perfect comes..., we will know all. Love is the greatest of all the virtues. First Corinthians 13:113 is one of the most loved and well-known passages in the Bible, but Paul places it after his teaching on the spiritual gifts for a specific reason. Some of the gifts may seem impressive, but if attempted without self-sacrificing love for others, they become meaningless, even destructive. Paul uses 14 verbs to describe what love does and does not do. Love is the foundation for Paul's teaching in the following chapter on prophecy, tongues, and even orderly worship. While this section is often quoted in romantic settings, such as a wedding, the concept in mind is that of agape: a self-sacrificing, godly love. #HolySpirit #australiaforchrist #dailydevotional #dailyBiblereading #mylordandsavior #churchmelbourne #livingmanna#dailymanna #2020To2021 #HappyNewYear#HolySpiritLead #apostolic #pentecostal #christianmusic #christian #bible #Melbournechristians #aussiechristians #PrayforAustralia #PrayfortheWorld #DailyBibleInspirations #dailybibleverse #DailyBibleReading #biblestudy
11.01.2022 Heavenly Father, thank You that the precious invitation that was open to Israel to come and drink of the waters of life freely and without cost is still open to thirsty souls in this Church dispensation. Thank You that this promise continues to be open to whosoever will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, both Jew and Gentile. Thank You that I have been baptised into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit of God and that in Him I have free access to the Bread of Li...fe and can drink deeply of the Living Water. Thank You that salvation is given freely to whosoever will COME. Thank You in Jesus' name, AMEN. #HolySpirit #australiaforchrist #dailydevotional #dailyBiblereading #mylordandsavior #churchmelbourne #livingmanna#dailymanna #2020To2021 #HappyNewYear#HolySpiritLead #apostolic #pentecostal #christianmusic #christian #bible #Melbournechristians #aussiechristians #PrayforAustralia #PrayfortheWorld #DailyBibleInspirations #dailybibleverse #DailyBibleReading #biblestudy
09.01.2022 Psalm 139: 13: For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." 14 : I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."... In this psalm David marvels at God's amazing characteristics. God knows everything about him: where he goes, all David's thoughts and everything about his conduct. The Lord knows what David will say even before David says it. There is no place David can go that God isn't already present. David marvels at God's creative work in the womb. He is thankful for God's innumerable thoughts for him and for God's presence day and night. Finally, David's thoughts turn to the wicked. He considers them God's enemies and his, and longs for God to slay them. David is disgusted by evil people because they rail against God and take His name in vain. He asks God to search his heart to see if any sin is there, and he asks God to lead him in the way everlasting. #HolySpirit #australiaforchrist #dailydevotional #dailyBiblereading #mylordandsavior #churchmelbourne #livingmanna#dailymanna #2020To2021 #HappyNewYear#HolySpiritLead #apostolic #pentecostal #christianmusic #christian #bible #Melbournechristians #aussiechristians #PrayforAustralia #PrayfortheWorld #DailyBibleInspirations #dailybibleverse #DailyBibleReading #biblestudy
08.01.2022 Christ reassures His followers that faith in Him is faith in God. To know Christ is to know ''the way, and the truth, and the life'' (John 14:6). The words, actions, and miracles of Jesus should give Christians confidence to trust that He will make good on His promises. Among those are His guarantee that He is preparing to come for us, so we can be where He is. Jesus also predicts the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This is only available to believers, and this Helper acts to ...guide, teach, and remind us. Both for the disciples, and for future Christians, these words are meant to be comforting during hard times. Since Christ knew, in advance, what would happen, we can be even more confident to trust Him. John 14:114 continues Jesus' discourse with the disciples at the last supper. He has recently mentioned a traitor in their midst and predicted Peter's denials. That leads Jesus to reassure these menreminding them that He has told them the truth and has all things in hand. In this passage, Christ infamously refers to Himself as ''the way, and the truth, and the life.'' That is the sixth of seven such ''I Am'' statements included in John's gospel. This section includes Jesus' words, personal experience, and evidence of His miracles as reasons to maintain trust. #HolySpirit #australiaforchrist #dailydevotional #dailyBiblereading #mylordandsavior #churchmelbourne #livingmanna#dailymanna #2020To2021 #HappyNewYear#HolySpiritLead #apostolic #pentecostal #christianmusic #christian #bible #Melbournechristians #aussiechristians #PrayforAustralia #PrayfortheWorld #DailyBibleInspirations #dailybibleverse #DailyBibleReading #biblestudy
06.01.2022 The wisdom of the world is foolishness to God but the wisdom of God is life and health to those that obey Him, and if only we could take this simple instruction to heart and carry it out to completion, we would be walking in the way of the Lord and living in spirit and truth. Every believer is called upon to commit his works and activities unto the Lord, but all too often we discover ourselves trying to carry out the works that He has prepared for us to do, in our own strengt...h and not in the power of the Holy Spirit. God will never carry out His plans and purposes in the strength of the old me'. God has purposed to carry out the works and activities of my life through my new life in Christ - my new, born-again nature. God can never carry out His work through a heart that is anxious, disobedient or fearful.. nor can he achieve His purpose in our life if we are proud or seeking our own glory for anxiety, disobedience, fear, pride and vainglory all emanate from our old sin nature. God's will only works through our new-life in Christ until Christ is all in all to the glory of God the Father. The best way to be assured that our plans will be achieved is to dedicate our ways and works to the Lord and be willing to say, Thy will be done. #HolySpirit #australiaforchrist #dailydevotional #dailyBiblereading #mylordandsavior #churchmelbourne #livingmanna#dailymanna #2020To2021 #HappyNewYear#HolySpiritLead #apostolic #pentecostal #christianmusic #christian #bible #Melbournechristians #aussiechristians #PrayforAustralia #PrayfortheWorld #DailyBibleInspirations #dailybibleverse #DailyBibleReading #biblestudy
