25.01.2022 It’s natural medicine week! Definitely a great time to reconnect with the natural world around us.

24.01.2022 The perfect way to start a chilly Sunday morning. A delicious hot chai and a nutritious and tasty seeded fruit loaf. Supporting our own wellbeing at the same time as supporting local small businesses feels great. Happy Sunday everyone! @holistic_health_store @judysorganics @calmersutratea

22.01.2022 I am now settled in my new clinic space and loving it! I am fully booked this week but have a few spots available for next week. Call to make an appointment. #naturopath #naturopathy #sandringhamvillage #sandringhamnaturopath #herbalmedicine #foodasmedicine @ Sandringham, Victoria

22.01.2022 Finding the joy in everyday Our first ripe tomato ready to be picked. With everyone spending more time at home now is the perfect time get into the garden. Many Herbs and vegetables are simple to grow and require little space to flourish. Gardening provides a great opportunity to calm an over stimulated nervous system, reducing feelings of stress and anxiety too. Best of all, the fruits of your labour are nutritious and taste delicious. #homegrown #backtobasics #backyardgarden #findingyourjoy

19.01.2022 I’ve had this peace lily for a couple of years now and it’s literally flowered once in that time. I’ve moved it couple of times to different spots around the house to see if that would help but it didn’t make a difference. Two weeks ago I moved it to a new spot in our lounge room and it now has three flowers blooming beautifully Just goes to show you, sometimes we just need a new position to fully bloom in this life. Maybe just the smallest shift in perspective could be just what you needed so don’t be afraid to change. It might just bring the biggest rewards. #naturopath #naturopathy #naturalmedicine #herbalmedicine #peacelilyplant #surroundyourselfwithnature

19.01.2022 These rules might be making you a little nervous right now. One month with no dairy, no wheat, no refined sugar, no caffeine, no alcohol? Why would anyone want to do that? Here’s a few reasons why.............. more energy better sleep improved memory/cognition better digestion stronger immune system improved mental health With benefits like these the sacrifice seems small. To do this successfully it’s just a matter of being organised, thinking ahead and planning. For the next month I will post about my cleanse, what I’m eating, how I’m feeling and how I stay committed. Happy ‘first day of detox’ everyone!

17.01.2022 This sounds like the perfect way to begin a weekend If you are thinking of beginning a yoga practice, this is a fantastic way to start. Gently with an experienced teacher.

16.01.2022 After so many months of Zoom and Telehealth consulting, it is fantastic to know that in less than 2 weeks (or maybe even sooner) I will be back seeing you all face to face Those of you that have booked in already, I look forward to seeing you soon, those that need to make a booking can do so via email, phone or through our website. www.holistichealthstore.com.au #holistichealthstore #naturopathicmedicine #maketimeforyourhealth

16.01.2022 Well, what a crazy week it’s been in Melbourne. I have to admit, it’s been tough. When they made the anouncement on Tuesday night that we were heading back into lockdown I thought ‘geez, I picked a hell of a month to give up drinking’ All jokes aside, I am glad it happens to be detox month. We all know how easy it is to reach for the wine or chocolate during times of stress which only increases oxidative stress and weakens our immune system. ... 10 days into detox and I’m feeling great. I always notice my improved energy at about day 5 of detox. I am waking early and feeling refreshed. No dragging myself out of bed in the mornings. My energy is staying consistent over the day too which is great. I am sleeping well and feeling calmer despite the uneasy situation we are all in. My meals have been varied and interesting. Lots of Buddha bowl style lunchs, rissotto for dinner with left overs made into arincini and oats for breakfast. I’m eating more fruit too which is perfect for increasing key nutrients such as vitamin C. To everyone who’s doing it tough with lockdown 2.0, thinking of you and sending love. Reach out if you need help.

16.01.2022 It’s nearly July. Time for a cleanse. Follow me and I’ll keep you posted with updates, recipes ideas and info on just how easy it is to focus on you and your health for the month. Winter time cleanse - here we go!

16.01.2022 Delicious salad to try this weekend. Enjoy!

14.01.2022 Our clinic/retail space looks fantastic and we can’t wait to welcome our patients back with face to face consults soon. In the meantime, zoom and Telehealth consults continue.

11.01.2022 To all the women in my tribe, thank you. I am so grateful. Happy International Women’s Day

10.01.2022 And it’s done.................... another Month long detox complete! And what a crazy month its been. It’s been tough, as anyone in Melbourne will tell you but without the usual crutches (alcohol, chocolate, cake etc) I’ve turned to healthier ways of managing the stress. I’ve been busy in the kitchen cooking up some simple but nutritious meals, I have started each day with deep breathing exercises and included more meditation into my routine. I’ve also increased my vitami...n D intake (important for supporting a stable mood) and maintained my magnesium and B vitamin intake (vital during times of stress). Today my focus shifts to supporting my mental health. This is going to be key in getting through this next phase of our Covid lockdown. August is my mental health month. 2020 has become the mental health marathon no one could have predicted. Stay strong everyone, we’ve got this! Photos are some of the meals I’ve enjoyed making and eating! Let me know if you want the recipes Pad Thai with peanut sauce, Braised cauliflower, Chickpea and Tomato slow cooker curry, Parsnip and Cauliflower soup with chickpea flatbread. All vegan, gluten free, nutritious and delicious. #naturalmedicine #detoxmonth #cleanse #cleaneating #cleanliving #naturopathicmedicine #nutritionalmedicine #youarewhatyoueat #foodismedicine

10.01.2022 Finding the joy in everyday This is so important for us all right now. Being stuck at home and feeling disconnected from our support networks can start to take a toll on our mental health. Today one of our wonderful customers brought this handpicked posy in for us. He just wanted to do something nice and asked for nothing in return. With such beauty in the world, we are ALL going to get through this. Sending all our love out to you all. 10.01.2022 Easy and nutritious Sunday dinner. The best bit is, the kids loved it too. #freshisbest #seasonalproduce #easysundaydinner

09.01.2022 A couple of quick meals last night and tonight. Working late tonight so pulled together a super quick stir fry celery, mushroom, coriander, red kale, cocomino teriyaki sauce and hemp seeds. I had this with basmati Super quick and nutritious. Last night, the kids were away so I wasn’t cooking for a crowd. I made my favourite, chop chop salad. Basically get out your Vege and chop it up! I used a bunch of coriander (stalks included), grated celery, and hemp seeds. I... added some tofu and some left over vegan peanut satay sauce (I will share this recipe soon, it’s delicious) and it was ready in minutes. Perfect Day Two and I’m feeling good
