25.01.2022 Creators, please, please, please, know your place... For as long as I can remember I have been looking at this the wrong way. Always I saw my creative potential through the lense of fear and limitation: ... Will it be accepted? Is it really neccessary? is it actually Important? Yet always I haven't been able to ignore that spark inside me, wanting to burst into a fire. Every time I hear of someone making time to paint, write, pick up their camera, sing a song or dance their ass off I actually get teary. My heart actually sings. WHO DO YOU THINK IS ACTUALLY DOING THE CREATING? *** We are the CHANNEL, NOT the creator. Our job is to say yes. Our job is to kick those limitations to the curbe and make it happen Our job is to realise this isn't about us, it's about something BIGGER and we need to get our shit together. 24.01.2022 Over the past couple of months I've sold over 500 cards and over 40 prints to either private buyers or retailers... I'm not taking this lightly, I feel like pinching myself, and I'm taking every sale as encouragement to take a deep breath and keep going. Every bit of profit is enabling me to upgrade my website, set myself up with what I need to run a business professionally and buy art supplies. I never went on job keeper/seeker... I'm not sure why, but the decision to be r...esponsible for myself has been motivating. All my new original arts will been collated for a solo exhibition next year. I cant wait. And I'm making steps to start launching into mural work All I can say is thank you. Thank you for every like, comment, tag and share. Thank you for every purchase big and small. Thamk you for every collaboration. Thank you for taking those brief moments to pause and look longer at a piece of work. 19.01.2022 Its crazy to think I can do more with body than I could before kids. Maybe not do more but feel more... I feel more in tune with surfing, feel more connected when I dance, am stronger than before... I can twirl Sumatra around with my little finger. Just jokes. What I'm getting at is the process of losing everything that my body used to be before pregnancy and then having to rebuild it from less than it was before has wired me some new connections. It had to. I had to listen... to it more, learn it all over again and challenge it respectfully. Tuning in to rebuild this body also had me tuning in more to my thoughts, my emotions, my heart, my voice, my will. Its allowed me to be more settled in my own skin. Finally. It's been a staggered effort to fit this in around kids but its taught me loads of patience and persistence. But the result is not writing myself off in my 30s and learning to value myself more... it is, after all, going to me and this body for the rest of my life. #mumslife #womenwhosurf #surfingmum #RedBluff #lefthander #backhand #midwestliving #ningaloo

09.01.2022 Surf School For me this one sums up that feeling of floating in the ocean, waiting for waves but distracted by the beauty, mystery and abundance beneath me. I always feel this immense sense of oneness when I'm our in the water. This one was super popular at the Denmark markets. 08.01.2022 I've started a bit of a ritual before I go to sleep where I bring to mind all the good things that had come my way that day: some vegies from someone's garden; help with the kids; interest in my artwork; a kind word; a laugh with my husband; a poignant moment with daughters..... or something I even did for myself: got out of bed early for yoga; spoke my truth; tried something that scared me; put time into my passion.... I've been taking those last few moment of my day to reme...mber those things and feel grateful for them. You know that loved up feeling you get when you fall in love, that pang in your chest like your hearts gonna burst? That's it, that's where the magic is at To not just think gratitude bit to feel it. 01.01.2022 Last year I had to stop pretending I was ok with my life. Reality check: * I wasn't earning enough money to even support myself * The wheels were spinning FAST as a creative, but I wasnt really going anywhere and I was exhausted! * I had anxieties and bad beliefs around time and money. * I devalued myself as a person and as an artist. ... There is soooo much "how to" info out there on art and business but actually that's not what I needed to move forward as an artist. What I really needed was to upgrade my SELF! I had take a good hard look at the person I was and the habbits I had and realise it was all because of ME. We create our world with our mind. What's the difference between a successful artist attracting a handsome income off the back of their talents, and someone just dabbling and making excuses? Self beliefs. Your frequency. And the lense you view the world through Since realizing this I put myself to work. *I challenged my beliefs (still will for the rest of my life) *I upgraded my habits * I tapped into an online community who are absolutely humming. SOARING infact! And let them effect me with their wisdom and high vibration. And this connection is giving me wings Already my sales have gone up, the quality of what I offer has gone up and I am less stressed, more courageous and more trusting. The groundwork is being laid to actually be living the life I have in my head. If you have the balls to realise what you truly want and are prepared to do what it takes, you have found your tribe right here. It's all possible and more I don't care if you are a total stranger, If you are feeling this we are on the same vibe and your DM is welcome Your unique talents, skills and passion that are gifted to you for your walk on this earth is needed more than you give it credit for
