25.01.2022 'I’m speaking to you from the Sovereign Yuin nation on the south coast of what you’d have called New South Wales. Since the treaty handbacks started we don’t use that name much any more, and I can’t say anyone misses it.' So you’ve been shifted nine years forward; it’s July 2029; which is not such a huge traverse when you think about it; 3,285 days and nights. And the reason each of you have been brought here will become clearer as we go, but for me it’s really simple: it’s s...o I can say thank you, deeply, for all of the things you did during those 3,000 days and nights.' < Scott Ludlum > Read the article here> https://www.theguardian.com//love-letter-from-2029-i-want-

24.01.2022 What amazing work the ob Brown Foundation is doing for our beautiful forest. Keep an eye on this amazing Great Forest Case and please help spread the word and help where you can. Too much of our wild places are being destroyed as we speak. Ben and I drove down to the Tarkine a few weeks back to see the extend of devastation from the town of Burnie, as far as we could see on the horizon...ancient forest forest being clear fell for 100km2, replaced by pines and mono culture and seing the contrast with the rich and diverse ecosystem of the Tarkine that sustains all kind of life great and small. We need to protect what is left of the natural beauty of the living world. Ben says it was truly enchanting, inspiring and unique.

21.01.2022 '...Transformations to sustainability are not processes that are managed under orderly control, through incumbent structures according to tightly-disciplined knowledges, often emphasizing technological innovation, towards some particular known (presumptively shared) end; instead, they involve more diverse, emergent and unruly political alignments; more about social innovations, challenging incumbent structures, subject to incommensurable knowledges and pursuing contending ...(even unknown) ends. Given the configurations of power and institutions, such processes will look different, depending on the location and the specific issues, but, as shown in the diverse literatures reviewed here, many cases of experiments in sustainability and development point to such emergent, radical alternatives occurring, whether in the context of changing agri-food systems, experiments in urban sustainability, or major changes in energy economies toward low-carbon, renewable alternatives.' 13.01.2022 My ‘liyan ’is my moral compass ... is the ‘feeling ’which helps me to navigate my movements on Country and it helps me to read people and determines my relationship with them. This ‘feeling or liyan ’is deeply personal and guides my life journey with human and non-human beings; the plants, the trees, the birds, and other animals. It is ingrained in my inner spirit and enshrines my rights and responsibility to our Mardoowarra, river of life. This is the law of relationships! It is personal, spiritual and not for human beings to determine, it is the Law of the Land, not the Law of Man. Dr Anne Poelina https://martuwarrafitzroyriver.org/liyan

If you don’t, there is a danger they will always think of the outdoors as something to be driven past and th...rough. 10.01.2022 Earth Ethics Australia - Volume 1 This publication is the first produced by the Australian Earth Laws Alliance’s Earth Ethics Program, which offers a space for people to explore ideas and actions that stem from our interconnectedness with, and dependence upon, the living world. Our ethical values are critically important; the way we think about ourselves and understand our world informs the governance systems that guide our societies, so our ethical world view is a critical... part of the roots for larger change. Earth ethics orient people towards recognising the interconnected systems of life that we are part of, and in turn help us reflect, make decisions and act in a way that nurtures rather than destroys the living world. Earth Ethics Australia is a biennial, peer-reviewed journal containing research--and commentaries on research--into ethics, law and governance with a focus on Earth-centred ways of being. As an official publication of the Australian Earth Laws Alliance (AELA), the journal aims to share knowledge and understanding about living an Earth-centred life and building an Earth-centred governance system for our wider community. 02.01.2022 2020 National NAIDOC Poster Shape of Land artwork, by Noongar and Saibai Islander man Tyrown Waigana. Tyrown’s passion for art and design began at an early age ...and his goal is to make a living of being an artist and take on exciting new creative projects. Shape of Land description: The Rainbow Serpent came out of the Dreamtime to create this land. It is represented by the snake and it forms the shape of Australia, which symbolises how it created our lands. The colour from the Rainbow Serpent is reflected on to the figure to display our connection to the Rainbow Serpent, thus our connection to country. The overlapping colours on the outside is the Dreamtime. The figure inside the shape of Australia is a representation of Indigenous Australians showing that this country - since the dawn of time - Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land.
