25.01.2022 Another old favourite of mine, made a couple of years ago
24.01.2022 This short feature is a portrait of Gustavo Cereijo, percussionist, singer, and founder of latin band Chukale.
21.01.2022 This video is made of a selection of shots that were taken for a commission for jazz andean fusion band 'Celestino' in 2015. The original one hour long cut was projected as a backdrop for the live band show. 'Berimbao', recorded by Celestino.

14.01.2022 A lovely review of A Map of the Body by Bernard Houston. 'This exhibition unites three amazing artists. Painter Nico and choreographer Cecilia collaborate to create sculptural shapes, colours and textures that celebrate each of the three locations depicted in this exhibition. The third invisible party to this dance of paint and light is photographer Mircha whose gentle images never break the fourth wall between the subject and the connoisseur. The final curation takes you a ...visual adventure that innocently and respectfully celebrates the human form'. Catalogue available on mirchamangiacotti.photoshelter.com We are printing the first batch of orders this week, if you would like to place yours, this would be a good time. 13.01.2022 Here's another video clip I shot and edited for Chukale. This was an exciting, bold project: an historical re-union of several of the best singers in the Australian latin music scene. Shot in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
10.01.2022 This inspiring and visually stunning film documents the ultimate music festival which took place on Magnetic Island in May 2019. Uniting musicians from around Australia and the world, coming together to connect and share their love of music of all kinds, whilst raising funds for Motor Neuron Disease research. Celebrating the profound and powerful role of music and art and its ability to create positive change, this film and the festival itself celebrates humanity in its best... light. This 30 minute cut features extensive coverage of the music and the musicians, as well as an interview with festival director and creator Shenzo Gregorio. This was made possible with the additional footage shot by Tnee Dyer, Justin Brown and Hannah De Vries. Also thanks to the the support of Sharon Mcilwee and Inner West Council Library, who commissioned this feature for a public screening at Marrickville Library last January. Let’s watch it together, Tuesday 14th of April at 7.30 pm. Enjoy it on a proper screen if possible and with good sound for the best experience Vimeo and Youtube links to follow. Join us for a live and interactive talk post screening with myself and Shenzo! More details soon.
07.01.2022 I had so much fun directing this video clip when I was at Griffith Film school, featuring Brisbane-based latin band Chukale and Sasha as lead dancer. Produced by Katherine Chediak-Putnam and shot by Esteban Rivera + crew.

06.01.2022 Shot in Hungary as part of the Big Stories Small Town project, 'In the Belly of Folk' is a short documentary featuring Hunger Balasz, dulcimer player, teacher and founder of Cimbaliband.
04.01.2022 A few shots taken around Brisbane at night, testing a new lens
03.01.2022 Working with Robert Andrew was a real honour, his work is out of this world and he's a wonderful human being. Finding out about his indigenous heritage and the stories relating to his family's past opened my eyes to a sorry chapter in Australia's history. This is even more relevant today, in light of the current #blacklivesmatter movement sweeping the globe.
03.01.2022 One day I was walking in King George square when someone handed me a leaflet about an upcoming demonstration to denounce human rights violations against the indigenous people of West Papua. I had never heard about this before, how could this be possible? I did a little research on the topic and I got in touch with local support groups who connected me to indepence leaders Octo Mote and Benny Wenda, whom I met and interviewed in Brisbane in 2014. Shot in Solomon Islands, this... film tells the story of a very significant moment for the West Papua independence movement, as they gained a small victory in their diplomatic efforts to raise awareness to their sufferings, and trying to stop the atrocities which are still taking place today. https://www.facebook.com/freewestpapua https://www.abc.net.au//west-papua-secret-war-wit/12227966 #freewestpapua #blacklivesmatter
