25.01.2022 Arghhh! Much distress!!

22.01.2022 My workshop assistant

22.01.2022 Handsome Bear modeling his new clothes

20.01.2022 So which is your favourite? Edge stitched or plain?

20.01.2022 Another custom bridle. Fully padded shaped headpiece, fully padded around the nose with no crank piece and a removeable flash loop. Finished with little diamonte browband studs for a tiny bit of understated bling

19.01.2022 A little bit in love with this teeny 13" saddle thats probably older than me. It came in for a bit of an overhaul so that it can carry its next generation of tiny bottoms.

19.01.2022 A long read, but bear with it. Some fascinating information that may give you pause for thought.

13.01.2022 Making a saddle safe for the new year with some new girth points, i thought I'd document the process to show what's involved and how many tools are used during the process. First a strap is cut from a selected hide. Then the points are cut to length and shaped before having their edges bevelled, colour stained and polished. A crease line is marked around them, then holes are measured, marked and punched. Then stitch holes are marked in and the end bevelled off so it lies flat...ter on the web. Finally the old points are cut off and the new ones are hand stitched in place, taking care to line them up so they sit level. I hope this gives some insight into how each item that goes through the workshop is given individual care and hand made attention. No parts are bought in, each and every strap is carefully cut and finished so that every item is uniquely customised to fit and match.

12.01.2022 A bit of English bitless Western fusion. Of course it helps to have a handsome model

12.01.2022 A headcheck or overcheck, off to do some barrel racing

11.01.2022 A customer who is getting prepared ready to hit the show circuit when things start happening again with some smart new show leathers

10.01.2022 Another bridle designed by its new owner and off to its new home

07.01.2022 It's good to get a fun job in sometimes too

07.01.2022 A pet hate of mine is seeing saddles advertised for sale with this as a width measurement. It is far too vague a measurement.

06.01.2022 When lunch at the bench requires very close supervision

06.01.2022 Helping its owner keep a very hard working saddle going for a few more kms

06.01.2022 Patient good girl Bomber (who wouldn't dream of rug destroying), modeling an anti rug destroy bib, for a big rug monster who has an annoying (and expensive) habit.

04.01.2022 Its definately not all about the saddlery. A cute little creative project working with my daughter and her jewellery making skills. Hand stitched tiny paper and leather books on chain linked earing hooks

04.01.2022 Ever wondered what the insides of your saddle look like? This one has just had all its flock removed as it was going a bit lumpy, and replaced with soft white wool.

04.01.2022 A more unusual creative project. Medieval Kite Shields. The teenage son hasn't got his bill yet...

02.01.2022 Fluffy and tough. Solid leather outer and fully sheepskin lined. Still on after 24hrs in the paddock with bot fly hooning. Which means the shoes are still on too.

02.01.2022 Lucy does a super job. Its not about the saddle sales. Its about happy horses and riders being the best team they can be with whatever saddle works for them.

01.01.2022 And my lovely new hides are here. A deep traditional Havanna and a gorgeous Antique Tan. These hides come in from the UK so with current restrictions are getting a little hard to obtain. The black is out of stock. But these ones will make up some beautiful brown bridles.
