22.01.2022 I have had the pleasure of doing Annabelles hair since she was a wee little thing in primary school, and every 6-8 weeks for about 8 years we would just cut the very minimum off. A couple of years ago I started asking her if she ever thought she would cut it shorter and she always said no! Until last week when she was in for her regular trim and mentioned she had been thinking of cutting it. Well she thought some more and today she did the chop! Baby steps, to possibly going shorter again, but I knew eventually she would let me chop it off she was so brave! Enjoy your new do lovely

15.01.2022 Saturday Appointments for the rest of the year: The only appointments available for Saturdays between now & Christmas are on the 15th. I have two cut/trim appointments at 9:30 & 10am, and a colour or foils appointment at 1:30pm. That is all that is left for Saturdays. If you need any one of these, please book now to avoid missing out. I will also be taking appointments for Monday the 10th & 17th to help squeeze some extras in. If you currently have an appointment booked and... cannot keep it, please let me know as soon as possible so that it can be offered to somebody else. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or simply do not show up, you will need to pay for that service before you can book in again. I know you all understand how busy I get at this time of year, but please also understand that by not showing up or cancelling last minute leaves me out of pocket, when the appointment could have been filled by somebody wiling to show up. 12.01.2022 What a crazy start to the new year! January is all but booked up - I have a couple of available spots on the 30th & 31st, but that is it! I am happy to pop names on a cancellation list for a just in case. But I would definitely suggest if you need a booking soon to book in for February ASAP to avoid missing out! 11.01.2022 Oh my beautiful extended family, where do I begin. For almost 9 years you have allowed me to be a part of your lives. I have seen relationships form and break, babies arrive and children leave home. I have cried with you when loved ones have passed, laughed with you when life was grand, and hugged you when you just needed that embrace. You have all been a huge part of my life as well. You have watched me grow as a hairdresser, business owner, person and mum. You were all ther...e when Luca arrived, and you all gasp when I tell you how old he is now. You have lived my life alongside me and my family for almost a decade. I have formed incredible friendships along the way, ones that will continue for a lifetime. And I know by now you all realise what this update is about. I have made the incredibly impossible decision to terminate my lease at Hilltop Shopping Centre which means the end of an era. Believe me when I tell you this isnt something that has come easily for me, but for many reasons, it is time to move on. At this point I am moving to being mobile and happy to come to you all for your hair needs, or even just a coffee and a chat. However, I understand completely this isnt for everyone, and many people prefer to go to a salon. If this is you, please please please support someone small like I was. The big chains dont need your money, and the care you will get from a small, personally owned salon is second to none. The next couple of weeks will see me transition to being mobile, and I have some things that I need to work through, but if you would like to discuss it with me and book an appointment, please send me a message. Rubys first visit to me a couple of months ago was a little different to this one. She was a little scared and nervous about her first hairdresser visit. This last appointment last week, well it was a different little lady in my chair! She couldnt wait to get back in to see me and she has since discussed her styling options with mum about her next appointment

09.01.2022 Good morning all. I dont even know where to start. I have begun this post so many times and have been unable to find the right words. I am sure you are all well aware of the restrictions that are now placed on me as far as contact with clients goes. From here on forward, I am only allowed to have a client in salon for a maximum of 30 minutes. This, although not something that makes a great deal of sense, is something that we cannot work around. We are being asked to reduce o...ur exposure and in turn reducing the exposure to all of you. I will, 100%, be taking these restrictions very seriously. They have been put in place for our safety, and that is not something that I am willing to risk. Please do not ask me to try and get around these restrictions. All colour services are now no longer available. All waxing services are now no longer available. The only service I am able to offer at this point is a quick trim, for both men and women. In saying this, moving forward from today, I have decided to close my doors until I know what we are doing on the other side. This is something that hurts my heart. I have been a part of so many of your lives for almost 9 years, and this is precisely why I am taking this so seriously, because I adore each and everyone of you, and would hate to be responsible for any of you coming into contact with this horrible virus. I also have a family at home that I am not willing to risk for the sake of a haircut. I will be in salon today, and have a few spots free for haircuts, but if you can avoid coming out, please stay at home. Please, stay safe. Stay at home if you can. We are all facing uncertain times. We are all scared. We are all in the dark as far as what comes next. And we are all going to look a little worse for wear when we come out the other side. See more

07.01.2022 Unfortunately the last couple of weeks have seen more people cancelling appointments last minute or simply not showing up, than usual. As everyone is aware, this time of year trying to get an appointment with me is next to impossible, so when someone cancels last minute or simply doesnt show up to an appointment, that is money out of my pocket as well as time that could have been offered to a client who would be happy to show up. Going forward, any new clients will need to ...pay a deposit for any appointments created, and if the appointment is cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointment time, the balance will be payable as well. Please keep in mind that I am a sole trader. Every cent counts. The time you are booking with me costs me money, and by not showing up or cancelling so close that I cant get someone else in to fill, you are taking money away from me. I know you are all overwhelmed and possibly sick of reading info about Covid-19, however I simply cannot reply to all of the endless messages I am receiving at the moment. For this moment, YES I am still open. How long for, I really dont know. I am taking all directions from the QLD Government as they are issued. In saying that, if I feel at any time that mine, my familys or my clients health and well-being is in danger, I will close the doors and cease bu...siness. Please understand that my health and that of my family will always come before your hair. In saying that, at this time I am still taking clients where I can. I have limited availability at the best of times, so trying to squeeze everyone in is going to be tough. I am taking all precautionary measures to reduce the risk to everyone who enters my salon, and I ask that you do the same.
