06.01.2022 Dear Mirriwinni State School Families, A simple picture story book often explains a complex issue better than any speech and can also provide a great basis for a thoughtful & insightful chat, especially with children. There is no doubt the impact COVID-19 had on our world in 2020 & beyond will go down in the history books. The school has purchased copies of a new picture story book on COVID-19 written by Louise Gribbons and published by Sydney-based Jaimie Johnstone of Stardu...st Publications who states: I released my title, The Day we Spring-Cleaned the World about a month ago. The title is a very positive and uplifting poem navigating the crazy Covid journey. It’s suitable for children of all ages (primarily 5-10 years) and is a wonderful, engaging and positive resource that focuses on love and unity and taking care of the beautiful world we live in. Jaimie registered the business in Australia, her company owns the IP of the product, it was printed in Australia, and she has employed young Australian’s who lost their job during Covid to help out with her social marketing and despatch. She is proud to be supporting and promoting local business at this time. The Day We Spring-Cleaned the World’ is endorsed by QLD Minister for Education, Hon. Grace Grace as an innovative resource, and special keepsake. Other state Ministers have also contacted Stardust Publications encouraging them to offer this resource to their state’s schools. Fergie the Duchess of York has given the book a seal of approval and reads it online via her YouTube channel and The Daily Telegraph released an article speaking of its success also.. For a limited time, the publisher will honour a ‘Buy two, get a 3rd copy, FREE’ offer for ****** families; note this, if you order. Here is the link if you are interested in adding this to your bookshelf at home! www.stardustpublications.com Regards, Carol Pommer
