20.01.2022 It is now a week since the second break-in at Mirriwinni General Store and Post Office. I would like to emphasise Mirriwinni is a Licensed Post Office- a bank, keeper of private, personal mail, parcels and documents of a highly sensitive nature. Whilst we may appear small, our security is paramount. The compliancy measures, which are constantly reviewed by Australia Post, resulted in the protection of your mail, parcels and sensitive material, during the two break-ins. I have... been informed by the police that, sadly, two local juveniles were responsible. As Juveniles, they were dealt with under the Juvenile Justice program. Neither they, nor their parents are responsible for replacement of stock loss nor damage caused in the two break-ins. Their identity is not even allowed to be revealed to the victim of the crime. The detectives/police indicated to me, that they suggested to the deeply upset parents and offenders that they "approach the owners/ Licensee, offer an apology and offer something ie mow the lawns". The detectives informed me that this was entirely up to the parents and offenders. I again re-iterate that a week after the second break-in by the same offenders as the first, this has not been forth-coming. See more

We have 50% off Christmas wrapping paper, Christmas Cards, Bon Bons and some other Christmas things.
