We got ready at Heidi's parent's house in Toowoomba and all morning she was showered with well wishes from various friends and family who popped in to say hello. 15.01.2022 Feedback like this lights me up! I may just be there to do your makeup and scram, but over my many years of weddings I've learnt how much the vibe of your morning impacts your whole day. Getting along with your vendors is so much more important than you think, especially when it comes to hair and makeup vendors who are literally chilling with you and your bridal party all morning on the big day!... One thing I can promise (along with top notch makeup!) is that I always do my part to make you feel as calm and relaxed as I can, whilst throwing the odd bit of banter around of course!

14.01.2022 Well, it's certainly been a different old year, but that didn't stop another manic formal week full of the sweetest faces, including this one I went for a soft glam look with a subtle, but stunning coral lip! I absolutely loved this look and am expecting this lip colour will be making a regular appearance in my upcoming Spring makeups!

14.01.2022 Oh, hey! Don't be fooled by this shot of me... this post is actually about that staircase behind me. Why? Well at the top of those stairs is the Mirror Mirror Studio. It's super easy to find, right next to our friends at Banter When it comes to parking, there are a few options! If you can snag a park out the front then good work, but it can get busy so if this is your aim I would suggest leaving 15 extra mins to lap around just in case!... Otherwise, there is a sneaky little alleyway across the road from these stairs that you can walk through from the Neil Street car park. But, if all else fails, the Bus Interchange and Grand Central are never short of parks and just a quick stroll away! Piccy by Lucy Sheedy

13.01.2022 Those eyes I love the opportunity to bring out a client’s eyes with their makeup and I’m sure you’ll agree that these ones are a stand out! Here I used a colour from the deep red family to compliment the deeper green in her earrings, which in turn helped to bring out the green undertone in Zoe’s eyes! Voila!

03.01.2022 Another natural Mother of the Bride look that I created and LOVED I rarely come across a MOB that isn't a touch anxious prior to having her makeup done. Whether it's because she doesn't tend to wear a lot of makeup day-to-day or because she's scared as hell that she's going to walk away with rainbow eyeshadow and a blue lip to match (often from a bad experience in the past), I can feel that anxiety even when they aren’t openly expressing it. But, this is the perfect example... of how natural and glowing a MOB look can be. The right consultation process addressing any skin concerns and discussing the end 'goal' is key!
