16.01.2022 A plain simple breakfast sandwich with 2 eggs, a slice of cheese, some veggies and a little salt and pepper. Something we all make at home. So why do you think I am posting about it? . Well, it’s about the love that it is prepared with. . Last month a new pop up coffee shop opened at the mall I work at. It’s run by a very nice lady and her husband. I would always notice it when I walked by and some reason I could feel the anxiety that they were going through to run a simpl...y coffee counter amidst the Starbucks and Max Brenners of the world. . So I started buying coffee from there and really liked it. People who know me know how I am all for small businesses. Ofcourse I understood it more when I started running my own business. . I would take all my clients to this shop for coffee, give them suggestions on how to promote their business ( though I suck at doing it for my own stuff ) . Now I can ask to make the sandwich just as I want, without any butter or dressing and customise it according to my taste. Can you imagine doing that at Starbucks where you have to pick something pre made in bulk? . Like my dear friend @ssunil says, the food should have love in it. And you surely feel the love . So next time you want to eat out, look for the small place around you which may be do not have enough budget to market their business but they have enough love for you. . And if you come to Macquarie Centre, grab something from Manuel’s Caffe (opp Motto Motto) and give them my reference. 13.01.2022 1st of May 2015 Sangster/Shonga-Tser Lake, Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh (India) . I was revisiting my travel pictures and came across this beautiful one. Brought back the memories when we saw this beauty at a few hours drive from Tawang at an altitude of 3700m from sea level. .... We went for paddle boating with the Indian Army soldiers, the weather was clear and within seconds the weather changed. There was a blizzard, the visibility dropped, we hurried back and reached the base in time. . But I will never forget that feeling, that uncertainty and how everything just changed in no time. . I guess that’s how life is, we should enjoy the good times but always be prepared that this can change any time. 09.01.2022 Every Monday I hear almost similar stories from most of my clients. Most of them are guilty about their weekends especially in terms of their food. After a full week of following their meal plans, they tend to overdo on the weekends. . If you struggle with the same, here are some tips that have worked for me and are worth giving a try next weekend. Coz Monday is the best day to plan for Friday. . Plan a workout on atleast one day of the weekend. It can be a run, a workou...t session with your buddy or a relaxing Yoga practice. . If you can’t do that, atleast plan some activity that you enjoy. Like going for hikes or even walk around the park. Aim for your 10k steps even on your rest days. Earn those calories . Try to plan your meals as much as you can. If you know you are going out for dinner and indulge a bit, cut down on your breakfast & lunch. I tend to have more veggies and fruits during the day if I know I don’t want to hold back on dinner. . If you are planning for some drinks, cut down on extra carbs throughout the day. And have a glass of water for every drink. Keep yourself hydrated throughout the day! . Try to not wake up to the shrilling alarms even if it means sleeping in late. . However busy your weekend is, keep aside some time to plan for the coming week. It can doing meal prep or planning your workouts of the week. . Last but not the least, not every weekend can be perfect. So if you screw up this one, don’t be too hard on yourself. Just lift yourself up and get back on track. But do sit back and figure what caused you to not stick to your plan so that it’s not repeated again. .
