18.01.2022 Had Such a fulfilling Thursday morning spent presenting at Ellenbrook Secondary College alongside Shiko Kariuki & Irene Mbunsu. I felt so amazing being able to speak to the African youth as an African person myself, about my personal experiences with finding myself, being involved in the community and about self growth. I became the person I wish I could hear whilst at school myself! Thank you to Laraine Reason for inviting us as we were able to voice what our African youth need to hear

13.01.2022 Confidence and self esteem issues can manifest into our life’s in different ways. For me it has always been rooted in the fact that when growing up, beauty standards were limited to a certain perception of beauty that didn’t include darker skinned girls and girls with differing body shapes. This is a shoot that I did when I was 17, where I depicted the struggles of having to fit into societies expectation of beauty through ‘assimilation’. I wanted to scream out loud that it w...as wrong, I wanted to stand for girls who feel underrepresented. What better way to do that than being the representation myself. And to carry out my same mission from when I was 17, I am hosting my confidence and self esteem panel discussion next Friday, with panelists Shiko Kariuki, Sunni C Clyburn, Travonna Louzel and Myself. From 4:30-8:00pm at Herb Graham centre, $10 at the door. So come down to an event that should not be missed See more

09.01.2022 I support #FaceEquality! We live in a society that so often tells us we should look a certain way in order to be valued. So take a stance with us at FaceUp. Pro...ve that selfies aren’t just about looking perfect or fitting in with the crowd. Show the world that you can be confident, proud, and that we are all equal, no matter what our faces look like. This International Face Equality Week (18-22 May), we are coming together in solidarity with people from across the world who have facial differences. We are pushing forward the movement for fair and equal treatment of people with facial differences, which we must continue to fight for, now more than ever. So often, people who look different are subject to abuse, ostracism, health inequality, isolation and prejudice throughout their day-to-day life. Join us in campaigning for #FaceEquality. Take the Selfie Challenge and show your support for the #FaceEquality movement: Draw an incomplete circle in the mirror using lipstick, facepaint or pen. Frame your face with the circle and take a selfie Holding your phone just below your face, and tilting it up helps! Tag and nominate five people and share your selfie across social media! Don’t forget to use #FaceEquality and #FaceUp (@FaceUp or @instagram.com/faceup_inc) Casty HughesBilliej HughesBarnabas MaiyoArnold MaphosaCaleb GreavesCalvin JayBoiketo MazibeliCasta TungarazaJoe Tuakeu TuazamaCarmen BirnurConstance DewanDouglas HullElena Savvides KaikkiEmma OdongoFadzi WhandeFarai MbuvahFrazer ChibandaGertrude McErasGlennda PhuaGourav GoyalGouri SithraputhranGracie OlimahHazel Marie Barba-SardualHyginus HillaryJames CollinsJerome AnekweRuth AnekweJoel TallerJohnson TanJoseph MasikaJulius MkandawireJustin MccrawKeith ShangareKev CoetseeLarna RobertsonLawrence T.
