25.01.2022 Miss B visiting Hadspen Lions park several weeks ago. Raising our profile.
25.01.2022 Sailor Food Truck serves delicious food each Sunday night at Hadspen Lions park by the river from 4pm. Miss Baggie's Tea Parlour is planning to be there with them next Sunday afternoon so if you fancy a fresh Italian espresso coffee or a cup of tea your company would be a pleasure
22.01.2022 So Miss Baggie has an offsider: The Nugget - freshly brewed espresso coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Nugget is our newest business, and Jimmy and Robin would be happy to see you at the Batman Bridge, eastern side, tomorrow (Saturday 23rd) from 9.30. Come for a visit!
22.01.2022 hello friends. Tomorrow, Saturday 16th at Westbury's St Patricks Day festival you will find...MISS BAGGIE'S TEA PARLOUR! All set up for your morning, lunch and afternoon teas. Please visit and say hello!
18.01.2022 So not Miss Baggie's, but our other tiny van, The Nugget, will be at Exeter Market on Sunday 1st September. As always we offer you freshly brewed espresso coffee, teas, hot chocolates (or malted milk) plus lemon cream cheese cookies, scones-jam-cream and for the coeliacs amongst us I'll be whipping up a GF Sultana Brioche Loaf. Nugget has an oven so the sweet bread will be HOT! See you there!
16.01.2022 A stunning spring day for Miss Baggie's Tea Parlour to set tp at the Hadspen Lions park, 12 noon. Tea coffee scones hats!
11.01.2022 Saturday 12th May, next week: Miss Baggie's Tea Parlour will be enjoying a "dog" day, at Woolmers "Woofs Wags and Walkies". AND there's going to be a Sausage Dog race! We are offering tea (various) freshly brewed espresso coffee, hot chocolate, hot milk chikory - who remembers chikory? plus a range of eats, including GLUTEN FREE. Fruit pies, shortbread, chocky covered oat biscuits and whatever else we find time to make. Grab a friend and visit our stall. Remember too that you will get to wear a most glamorous hat! 10.30am until 2.30.
10.01.2022 Mum, Dad, and grand-daughter hiding behind her cup
10.01.2022 Sunday next week, 18th November, you'll find Miss Baggie at the inaugural Nunamara Country Fair. As always, freshly brewed coffee, a wide assortment of weird and wonderful teas (give me ordinary black leaf any day) and hot chocolate. Fruit tarts, scones and cookies and also available as gluten free. We aim to please EVERYBODY. I hear Tim from Devil Coffee will be attending and hopefully Delicious Bamyan - they make the freshest, most delicious Afghani Bolani.
09.01.2022 There’s something enjoyable about dressing up in extravagant clothes bright colours, fancy hats and a few frills. On Saturday a group of migrant community leaders met and donned some brilliant millinery to share high tea and conversation in Mowbray. Ella Dixon of the Migrant Resource Centre and myself organised this first event as a way to bring together community leaders from diverse backgrounds to share experiences and make new friends.... Women told their stories of moving to Australia from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, the Congo and other countries, swapped colourful hats and shared tea. We were also treated to a wonderful song from Josephine - wow! What a voice! Miss Baggie’s Tea Parlour is a business designed to support community events with well-hatted frivolity, and, weather permitting, will be accompanied by Babette, a retro, scarlet-white-and-silver caravan from which we can make coffee and tea. It’s a bit of a fun thing and what a lovely way to get together and have a conversation, Ms Dixon said.
08.01.2022 We shared a fine day last week at Launceston's Community Gardens with many Afghan ladies, so resplendant in their lovely clothes topped off with glam hats. Sorry ladies for not having enough hats! The shared food was delicious - as it always is when someone else makes it... Thank you all for your treasured company.
08.01.2022 Guests enjoying our hospitality at the recent West Tamar Writers Festival. These gals sure knew how to have a good time!
05.01.2022 A warm, sunny day, birds twittering, friends everywhere - Miss Baggie shone like a star at Nunamara Country Fair yesterday. Well done to hall committee- so helpful, so organised. Mr and Mrs Wise eagerly devoured blood orange tart and multiple scones with jam and both with THICK cream....
05.01.2022 Update for Miss Baggie's Tea Parlour Sunday outing at Hadspen Lions Park: from 12.30pm, not 3.30pm. Forecast SUNNY!! Bring on summer!
03.01.2022 Miss Baggie had the honour of attending Miss T's 5th birthday party at Grubbely, (oops channelling grandchildren there,) GRAVELLY Beach playground recently. Lots of friends and parents, delicious party food, and plenty of pretty hat-swapping. Hot chocolate poured from yapping little Yorkshire Terrier and gaily painted elephant teapots. Giggles when they were asked which end the hot chokky would come out...
01.01.2022 In preparation for Miss Baggies Tea Parlour presence next Sunday at the West Tamar Writer's Festival here's a test sample of a pie to be offered.....A screamily majestic Blood Orange tart...worthy of a cheer leader squad! So simple to prepare yet so supremely luscious.
01.01.2022 Miss B will be in attendance at the Tamar Valley Writers Festival. Sunday, 16th September at Grindelwald. Teas, freshly brewed espresso coffee, and, of course, some seriously delicious nibbles (even a fruit tart could be there). And - those HATS! A mens' range of hats too! Come and say helloooo.
01.01.2022 For anyone visiting the West Tamar Writers Festival at Grindelwald next weekend (15-16th) we invite you to come and sit at our pretty tables so we can feed you and coffee/tea you. Today I made Blood Orange Marmalade, and, AND, Red Current Marmalade. You can taste these on some fresh scones. (There's two secret ingredients in marmalades, if you ask nicely I'll share it with you)
01.01.2022 Also at the Writers Festival at Grindelwald will be our top favourite street food - Afghan BOLANI. They will be attending both days, Saturday and Sunday 15th and 16th September. Stop by and say hello to the friendly folk who are making your fresh bolani...
