25.01.2022 Talk about perfect timing - 3 yr old Tilly’s family have just installed a pool at home and Tilly just decided this week that YES , she can swim on her own !! Awesome job Tilly

23.01.2022 Big congratulations to Lily who easily cruised through her Nipper pool and ocean proficiency swim last weekend. Great to see all those years of swimming paying off. Another future lifesaver in the making - so proud of you Lily

22.01.2022 Just a quick update. Wearing of masks has been extended for another week. If you do forget your mask, Starting Blocks will have some at their reception for $1. Thank you once again in advance for your cooperation

19.01.2022 This little munchkin screamed at the top of her lungs for the whole lesson for the first 8 weeks at least and then decided it was ok to swim !!!! Now we even get a smile

17.01.2022 Wishing all my wonderful families a very Merry Christmas and an even Happy New Year . More than ever, I would like to thank you all for your support, patience and co-operation over the last year as we navigated our way through this challenging time together we made it ! I look forward to seeing you all again next year Miss Carol x

17.01.2022 Wow, what an awesome year of swimming. We had a slight hiccup at the beginning with Covid but we ended on a massive high. So proud of all my students .

17.01.2022 This swim absolutely made my day. When you see everything finally falling into place it is just beautiful to watch - this was just a perfect swim. You can tell that Jayda is ready for big school next year - awesome job Jayda

16.01.2022 I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am of Elliott who is now 5 yrs old. When Elliott started in February last year he was extremely nervous, apprehensive and very timid around water. It was a very slow start at the beginning and just as we were starting to make some progress Covid hit and we were closed for 3 months and had to start again . However the hard work was worth it as last week Elliott swam 7 x 25m laps completely unaided - it’s not a typo he swam a total of 175m without help !!! The laps were a combination of 4 big tall arms and a bit of doggy paddle for breathing - it was such a massive achievement for this young man. Absolutely made my day seeing him so confident and knowing he is so much safer now. Great job Elliott

16.01.2022 Just a reminder that the pool will be closed on Monday 14th June for the public holiday. Lessons will resume as normal on Tuesday 15th June. Enjoy the long weekend . Miss Carol

13.01.2022 Riain who is 5 yrs old started swimming with me in August of this year. Although she was confident in the water it was only if she was wearing her bubble - when I tried to remove the bubble she literally ran out of the pool and I mean literally ran out of the building . So we decided Private lessons would be the way to go and after only a couple of private lessons the bubble was off ! This this is Riain now - happy confident and swimming without her bubble and looking good

12.01.2022 I am so so proud of this young lady. Last June , Millie who is now 8yrs old could not swim a single stroke and certainly would never have even considered swimming at her School Swimming carnival. Now just 8 months later , last week Millie had the confidence to compete at her very first School swimming carnival. Awesome job Millie , I am so so proud of you

12.01.2022 Exciting News - School Carnival updates Big congratulations to Lily , Jaxx and Chloe who competed at their school carnivals over the last week. I am so so proud of you all Lily (8 yrs old ) ... 1st Freestyle 2nd Breaststroke (8-10yrs) Jaxx (8 yrs old) 2nd Freestyle 6th Backstroke (8-10 yrs) 7th Breaststroke (8-10 yrs) Chloe ( 7 yrs old) 3rd Backstroke - 8-10yrs 4th Freestyle Wonderful results - I couldn’t be prouder of you all .

10.01.2022 This week , Miss Carol’s Swim School will turn 3 yrs old . Just wanted to say a big Thank You to all my wonderful families for your support over the last 3 years and also before I started my own Swim School - I couldn’t have done it without you

09.01.2022 Two years ago, Charlie was literally running out of the pool as he was so scared of the water and wouldn’t even swim in his back yard pool. It wasn’t an easy journey initially , we certainly had some ups and downs but last week Charlie (who is now 5 yrs old ) had the confidence to jump off a 3m wharf into the ocean . This is why it is so important to never give up - with time and patience all children can learn how to swim and enjoy the water. So proud of you Charlie

05.01.2022 7 weeks ago Leo’s mum never thought Leo would be swimming on his own by Christmas. Despite having a pool at home he was so apprehensive he wouldn’t even put his toes in the pool . After 7 weeks of private lessons this is Leo now - confident enough to jump in on his own and can get himself back to the step - yesterday he actually swam the whole length of the pool (not captured on video unfortunately). Plus he now asks to go in the pool at home .

04.01.2022 Our last lesson for this Term will be on Wednesday 30th September. We will then close for one week and Term 4 will commence on Monday 12th October

03.01.2022 This jump may not seem much to look at but we have waited 18 months for Harper to jump in on her own . Each week she would stand on the side and dance around and just couldn’t jump until I held her hand and then last week, out of the blue, she did it and actually jumped in 3 times on her own !!! Amazing Miss Harper

02.01.2022 If you are looking for little stocking fillers for Christmas, Starting Blocks Pool have a great range of Batman and Superman sinkers and arm floats etc. The children will love them
