They hold a lot of paint and you can achieve a super smooth finish with them. They are super durable, so they last forever. I've been using mine for over 3 years now for my own projects and in workshops, so you can imagine that they get used a lot. And they are still going, good as new! If someone said this to me, I wouldn't believe them. But the proof is definitely in the pudding! #clingonaustralia #clingonstockist

22.01.2022 The devil is in the detail with this piece. I had two themes in my head for it, classic farmhouse or really ornate and pretty. You can probably guess which way I ended up going. I used a transfer and moulds by Redesign with Prima. Base colour is Sterling with Chocolate stencilling and Clear Glaze also tinted with Chocolate. (Excuse the lighting, my photography lights are currently buried under some stuff I need to sort out. )

18.01.2022 My customer had a go at painting this stunning old church piece, but wasn't happy with the result. Unfortunately the old hinges couldn't be saved and the new ones didn't look great against the white either. When she brought it over and saw Ash drybrushed with Brushed Steel Metallic on my hallway stand, she fell in love with the combo. I also painted over the hinges and the latch to tidy up the piece. ... She is thrilled with how it came out.

10.01.2022 Working on the night stands again today. It's been a bit of a stop start process, because I injured my knee chasing my neighbour's dog (don't even ask! ). Anyway, I'm back on track now. I painted them in Soapstone and finished the raw wood tops and the sides of the drawers with Black Stain and Finishing Oil. I am also wiping the SFO over the painted surfaces then wiping it back, but leaving it in the corners and grooves. Really loving the effect.

10.01.2022 A sight for sore eyes! My big order has finally arrived, so I have stock of all the colours except Lamp White and Sacred Sage at the moment. I stocked up well on the most popular colours: Coal Black, Ash, Casement, Picket Fence and Midnight Blue, but no doubt they'll go fast, so if you don't want to miss out, it's best to put an order in sooner rather than later. I managed to get some Hemp Oil, Tough Coat Matte and Clear Glaze too. Still no Ultra Grip and hardly any Stain & Finishing Oil. Hoping to get some in October.

08.01.2022 I had another lovely mother and daughter duo in today's workshop. It was great to see how quickly Margaret and Megan learnt the techniques of furniture painting and stencilling. We used Sandi Hands gloves and sandpaper for the prep work.

06.01.2022 Well, some pieces just shouldn't be painted. Much as I love painting furniture, and quite frankly I'd be happy to paint every brown piece there is in this world, I also recognise that sometimes things are close to perfect as they are and just need a little help to shine again. This piece I posted about last night was covered in some ugly dark brown varnish, but underneath that there was this amazing wood, that was carved masterfully. When I finished sanding every little deta...il, and I saw that, I just could not bring myself to start painting it. So I sent a photo to my customer and asked her if she was a 100% sure she wanted me to paint it. We really seemed to be in tune and she could detect it that I didn't. Turned out that she loved it unpainted. I applied Fusion Hemp Oil to nourish the wood and add lustre. And now it's done, and I'm happy.

05.01.2022 A little home improvement project. The lino had to be ripped up in the kitchen due to some water damage. Turned out there's beautiful old floorboards under it. Due to the water marks it had to be painted. After filling what felt like a million nail holes with wood putty, and lots of sanding, the first coat is finally on. Now the tricky part is keeping the cats off it while it dries.
