17.01.2022 Declutter Tip One of the most common things people do when they declutter is they pull everything out of all their cupboards and drawers in a room all at once. This can lead to having a mini freak out when you start getting tired or bored of decluttering for the day and the room ends up looking worse than when you started. If you’ve done this in a room at home, here’s an easy fix for you:... Clear the floor first. Even if it means putting items back in the cupboards and drawers, make space on the floor. Make sure the floor is totally clear as easy access around a room makes your job so much easier. Clear all the furniture and bench top surfaces next. Again, even if it means putting items back into cupboards and drawers, you want space to be able to sort through your cupboards and drawers. Next, once the floor and surfaces are totally clear, go through one drawer or cupboard at a time. Try and do this systematically. Complete one drawer or cupboard entirely before going to the next. If you want an item in a particular cupboard or drawer that you haven’t got to yet, still go and place it in that cupboard or drawer. This may seem like double handling, but it will make your task a heap easier in the long run. Take baby steps when you’re decluttering any room. Completing one small section at a time will stop you having a declutter meltdown. Remember: Blue - floor first Green - surfaces second Red - cupboards and drawers last I hope this may help if you’ve made a bit of a mess decluttering during your extended time at home recently. It’s all fixable. Remember to just take baby steps.

09.01.2022 That bus trip when you decided it was time to declutter your wardrobe.

08.01.2022 Our Patrol and trailer is jam packed with donations ready for drop off tomorrow from two of our declutter customers this week. Both have chosen to donate all of their unwanted items to the Uniting Church Byford. The Church runs a second hand/ recycling shop that operates in parallel with a craft group which provides items for ongoing crisis care in the community and local hospital. Thank you ladies for your wonderful donations and well done in taking a huge step on your per...sonal declutter journeys! We’d also like to give a really big thank you to Lyn who is a volunteer at the Church. As soon as we get a full load of donations, all we need to do is send her a text and she meets us for drop off. We really appreciate this as we can arrange drop offs at a time that suits us in between jobs. Thank you Lyn and to all the volunteers at the Church. You do a brilliant job!

07.01.2022 Our Decluttering Services Most of our regular decluttering customers prefer us to book them in for a couple of hours when they’re ready to continue on their declutter journey and we’re more than happy to do this with them. Everyone has a different speed with how they want to proceed on their declutter journey. What we also offer to those that want to declutter as quickly as possible, is the option to receive a set quote from us for completion of the entire job, whether it’s... one room or the entire house. If this method is preferable, we’ll attend your home for a consultation and provide you with a set quote. Everyone has a different story and is in a different situation. We’re fully aware of this. We started Miss Declutter to help people that needed help. Whether you want a hand to get your home back to a manageable level which may include decluttering, gardening and cleaning, you’re preparing your home for sale or you just want to declutter to allow fresh, new energy into your home, we may be just the sort of help you’ve been looking for.
