22.01.2022 *******EXPERIMENT FINISHED******* BEFORE AND AFTER TIME PART ---2---- DURING ISO 2.0... - Weight: Between 59/61 kg during the 6 weeks - Food: Introduced greek yoghurt the last 2 weeks and had no consecuences (wohoo) Minimized intake of processed foods. - Dietary Practices: 1) Counting Macros on each meal. 4-6 meals depending on training and rest days 2) Carb Cycling (Eating more carbs on training days) 3) Nutrient Timing (Eating carb loaded meals right before and after training) - Rest: 2 non-consecutive rest days and stick to them 100% (Sometimes is hard mentally to not train) - Training: 1) Allocated two days of double training. 20.01.2022 Post Hot days ahead, so i decided to do one of my favourite and easiest dinners. Rice paper rolls. Chose fresh crunchy veg (capsicum, carrot and cucumber), edamame beans (protein boost). ... As the star of the roll i went with salmon: Omega 3 fatty acids: This are an essencial acid, meaning our body doesn't produce it naturally. Decreases inflamation, reduces blood pressure, risk of cancers and improves the function of cells in our arteries. Protein: protein plays an important role im our body, including helping our body heal after an injury, protecting bone health and maintaining muscle mass during weight loss and the ageing process. B vitamins: This are invloved in several Important process in our body, inlcuding the food we eat into energy, creating and repairing dna and reducing the inflammation that can lead to heart disease. Potasium: It helps control your blood pressure, and reduces the risk of stroke. It lowers blood pressure by preventing excess water retention. Selenium: It is a mineral, and our bodies need very small amounts of it. It may reduce the risk of cancer Antioxidant Astaxanthin: Is a memeber of the carotenoid family and goves the salmon its red pigment. It lowers the risl of heart disease and LDL cholesterol. Also protects the brain and and nervous system from inflammation. She loves to play with some dough while i prepare the toppings. 10.01.2022 So today my daughter asked for pineapple pizza when i dropped her at kinder. Usually is me offering something fun for dinner, but since she was so excited, i said yes. This is spelt pizza (homemade) her is half pineapple, cheese and goats cheese. The other half is basically just the pizza which we will use in the next few days as snacks. Mine, well mine is interesting. I had a few pieces of chocolate in the afternoon so that covered my fat macros for two meals. On mine there ...is kale, roasted capsicum, left over chicken and veeeeery little goats cheese. So my aim was to cover carbs and protein (nailed it) Restricting makes us crave more. The key is to move around our meals to find a balance that our body accepts and embraces. But before we can do this, we all need guidance at the beginning to learn to listen to what our body tell us. No mater how many meal prep guides you get, if you dont get the proper COACHING from a qualified and expedience NUTRITION COACH, you will not have the tools to make healthy habits the new normal for you. 10.01.2022 #MEALPREPMASTER Even with all the experience that i have as a chef (17 years ) i learn every time i meal prep. A new trick, a new way, a new flavour. I like to prep my carbs, veg and protein separate since i have different abouts at each meal. It helps me calculate the macros pretty spot on. And also it gives me the freedom that if i want to eat something different, i can! Or if i want to eat a different veggie with my protein. So much freedom!!! Also made some of my Black ...Bean Brownie to hit those carbs before bed (noms!) And a broccoli and carrot slice for post workout carb loading. 10.01.2022 FEELING SNACKY AND HAVING AN UBER-BUSY DAY? I always recomend my clients to have protein in every meal, this helps them being ontop of it throughout the day and not find themselves not having reached their portions or macros at the end of the day. - Count your snacks as a meal. And make sure you get proteins there too. (Yoghurt, hard boiled egg, jerky)... - Divide your total protein portions/macros by the amount of meals (plus snacks) on a day. And try to hit it always. This way you can have more control over each meal. - If you are just starting, get used to have consistency on protein. Once this consistency has being built, you can start focusing on fats, and then on carbs. - Slow and steady wins the race. If you are trying to lose weight, first you need to build healthy habits and develop consistency After all this nutrition advice i wanted to recommend this, i found at Coles. I know it says "with sea salt" but honestly, they are not salty at all. Maybe people that like more sweet or savoury things wont find it flavourful. But if you are looking for a protein snack, i d say go for it. 08.01.2022 Experimenting with body changes. I am on an 80 day "Challenge" to gain 2 kgs. My macros are on the high side and im making sure i get all the protein i need in EVERY meal. This is very important because we want to feed our muscles. We want our body to have the nutrients it needs to rebuild muscle. Im on day 12 and i have gained about 400 grams. I can notice my whole mid section getting bigger. My abs are popping out and my core feels stronger than ever. Will update in a few ...weeks. Learning from books is not the same as going through the things that i teach my clients. I have the knowledge, now i want to have the pure experience. This is why trying on my own body is so important for me.
