18.01.2022 Have you considered tattooing / microblading / feathering your brows? Microblading is touted as a semi-permanent procedure. Its accomplished by making a series of fine hair-like cuts with a tiny scalpel throughout the brow. These go about .5 to .75 mm into the skin, in whats called the epidermal/dermal junction, and they are filled in with ink. Clients are told that the results will last for one to three years, then fade. But nobody talks about what itll fade intoand it... turns out nobody can guarantee its semi-permanent, either. Over my years of designing eyebrows I have seen many different shapes, thicknesses, and interesting looking brows come to me. The latest trend I am seeing is microblading.. and most is heartbreaking. You may think getting your brows tattooed on will solve all your problems : no more maintenance, no more filling in with pencils/powders each morning, just waking up with perfect brows each day. Sounds great right? What you are not seeing in these gorgeous before and afters that are posted on the internet is how they look later down the track.. I have come across poorly designed brows using tattooing, I have seen scarring, But mostly I am seeing the long-lasting leftover result once the tattoo pigment is gone.. orange/salmon and even purple coloured strokes. It looks awful. This may never fade. Clients are spending more time and money on their brows using makeup to cover this. Please please do your research and find an experienced artist before considering this quick fix procedure. As it can have permanent results that may not be what you were after. Xx *image via google.

18.01.2022 Some days I come into work and hear you had to put your pet down. Some days I hear you just discovered your daughter is an addict. Some days you found out your husband is cheating on you. Some days I hear your mother is dying of cancer. Some days I cry with you and I am thankful that you feel close enough to me to open up your life to me as a friend. Other days I come into work and hear you just got engaged. Others Ill hear you and your husband are finally going on that lon...g deserved holiday. I hear after all the heartache you are finally going to be a mother and cry with you showing me your ultrasound pics. I hear you were approved for that house and cant wait to move in. I hear you have only one more semester and your degree is done. One thing Ive never done, is come into work just do brows. And I wouldnt trade it for the world. Thank you to each and every client I have that lets me be more than just a brow artist.
