21.01.2022 You may have noticed our new profile picture, 'Tree of Life', a reminder of our past, present and future. Planting trees has long been an important ritual for many families and friends to honour and recognise the ongoing connection with their missing loved one. Family members report that the absence of recognised rituals, and limited opportunities to acknowledge, talk about, and honour their missing loved one is difficult. We encourage families to find a ritual that feels... right for them, whether it be for a birthday, holiday or anniversary. We would love to hear how you celebrate the memory of your loved one in the comments below.

While most come home, many families are still waiting for their reunion. The Australian Federal Police (AFP) National Missing Persons Coordination Centre (NMPCC) have dedicated a permanent remembrance tree located at the National Arboretum in Canberra. The tree is a symbol of hope and strength for the families, friends, comm...unity and the police who investigate these cases. Find out more here: https://www.missingpersons.gov.au//international-missing-c #IMCD2021 We encourage families to reach of for support.
