Ritual is a discipline or practice made up of various things that make you feel a certain way and help focus your energy in a direction that is positive for you. Its something certain that can bring comfort, especially in uncertain times. It is often noted as being sacred which it is. My personal believe is that everything is sacred. There is a difference between conscious and unconscious ritual. Often the unconscious ritu...al could look like the unplanned sabotaging actions that derail us. A habit formed over time that are disguised as comforting but not particularly supportive. Whereas the conscious ritual focuses on a pre planned action/s that aim to support your values and life goals and how you want to feel. When can breaking the ritual be healthy? When it brings you JOY. I have a few rituals but My morning ritual is 1. Hot Lemon Water first thing. 2. walk along the coast (which also means awesome tunes or a catch up with a friend) 3. Followed by Celery Juice. BUT sometimes you just gotta go rogue. And today, I started with lemon water then got into house work because I just felt like it and have been craving a blueberry and banana smoothie for about a week. Thats what my soul was craving. I will continue my usual ritual tomorrow and may still do a walk today and a celery juice. So when going rogue ask Does it still light you up? Is what youre choosing still aligned with how you want to feel? Because at the end of the day, how you feel is THE most important thing, not how much you do.
