25.01.2022 A different way to pass the morning at the seafarers centre. #welcomespring

21.01.2022 Its all happening this week. There's now doors where there has never been doors before. New windows are letting the light into once dark spaces. There are floors and slabs missing where we once solidly stood. Ive been reassure, that despite the look of our space at the end of the week we are right on track to start putting it all back together again next week. So greatful for the support and professionalism from the teams we've worked with this week. #plumbcall #danielsheaelectrical #coast2country So much #gladitude to all the trades that have been on site this week. We are so relieved you're here giving us a clean slate for the future when Seafarers return to our centre again.

20.01.2022 Our new Air Hockey table has arrived More fun, excitement and relaxation for the crews to utilise when they return to shore.

20.01.2022 Its such an amazing sense of community to see posts like this from one of our sponsors. They're just as excited as we are to be supporting Seafarers in Gladstone. #gladitude

19.01.2022 Another great example today of #collaboration. After recieveing an email expressing concern from MTS in Hong Kong we were able to visit this vessel today and spread some cheer. With thanks to AMSA for their swift movements once again, this crew will be happily repatriated in the coming days. #gladitude

19.01.2022 Have your captain contact us and we can arrange to deliver your online purchases to your vessel when you berth - make sure you allow enough time for your packages to arrive safely.

18.01.2022 What a brilliant morning this morning to celebrate the launching of Gidarjil Development Corporation new vessel "Guardian Warrior" in conjunction with CQU. It was an honour for our Welfare Coordinator Paul to be a part of the team to bless the vessel for its launching.

13.01.2022 I know for some of you its a little early to think about Christmas but this year its a good idea to get ahead of your normal schedule to allow time for postage of your Chrissy parcels because we can't travel this year. And what better way to celebrate Xmas than by raising money and awareness for Gladstone PAWS. The very same group of fabulous people that rescued Captain Jack and bought him to our centre to live out his days loving Seafarers. This year they put the most... special doggo in the world as Mr April.... none other than Gladstone Seafarers Centres resident welfare dog, Captain Jack in his work uniform!! Pre-order yours today at: www.gladstonepaws.com/product/2021-calendar/

12.01.2022 Today the last of the slab was laid in our new disability bathrooms. A few of us thought it would be a nice idea to immortalise our marks in what will on day be the new history of this special place.... Captain Jack went first. #gladitude #newandoldmergingtogether #layingnewfoundations

12.01.2022 Noisy demolition work happening in the centre today.

12.01.2022 Can't decide if I'm excited or terrified by today's progress!!

10.01.2022 Our Welfare team have been busy this week visiting vessels around the Port and delivering care packages for Christmas. Congratulations to Victor on his first ever ship visit. He absolutely loved it and now wants to go every day!!

10.01.2022 And away we go again... stage 2 of the renovations has begun. Doors are coming off ready for walls to be moved tomorrow and the paint is going on the outsides.

07.01.2022 We are so excited to be hosting the Gladstone Rock Hunters 3rd Annual Lady Beetle Line this Saturday. Why not come on down to the centre between 1030 and 1230 on Saturday and have a look at all the lady beetles lined up in our driveway. We're hoping some lucky Seafarers might join us and take some of the amazing Gladstone Rocks all the way around the world on their ships.

07.01.2022 Last week we said goodbye to Captain Jack. He was a beautiful, kind soul and an integral part of the team here at the centre. He left footprints on our hearts and will be impossible to replace. Our team will be eternally greatful for all the love he gave to the Seafarers and the volutneers. * We do not own the rights to this music. but appreciate being able ot use it.

07.01.2022 We've finally finalised our community support donations for the month with thanks to the support of #efex gladstone. #gladitude #payingitforward

07.01.2022 Have you been doing some online shopping whilst you've been stuck on your vessel? Are you heading to the Port of Gladstone in the coming months?

06.01.2022 We are so very very excited to report that our most recent resident Seafarers Siva has made it home safe and sound. Siva came off his vessel.with a badly broken leg back in August. He spent some time in the hospital, some time in a hotel and a lot of time with the volunteers and staff at the centre. Its been a long and bumpy road for Siva but his dream came true in the end. He made it home, through another hospital stay and his quarintine and isolation period, to his family in time for his birthday. Happy Birthday Siva, from everyone at GSC. A special honourable mention to Paul, Garry and Lesley who went above and beyond with daily visits and excursions with Siva throughout his stay.

05.01.2022 Ok peeps, I'm not a fan of the Mo, but its for a great cause raising funds and awareness for mens mental health. So here we are again and this year, its a little closer to home for us personally this time around with what the seafarers are facing during this pandemic we want to do everything we can to raise awareness. If anyone wants to make a donation to our board member/volunteer representative Deon's Movember fundraiser simply click the link below.

04.01.2022 Things are well and truly moving along with the renovations now. Several of our spaces are mere skeletons of their former selves. Thanks again to GPC for funding stage 2 of our refurbishment. #gladitude

02.01.2022 Yesterday in celebration of #internationaldogday Captan Jack got his very own uniform. Our team nd the Seafarers would be lost without the contribution of Jack to the centre with his daily fun and antics. Even if he does chew things, and leave a trail of mess and fluff behind him we love him to bits and he makes our centre a much better place. #captainjack

01.01.2022 This might just be my favourite collaboration so far this year. One #volunteer grows the passionfruit, the next volunteer backes the cake. its these little things that keep us going through our challenging days and bring us joy
