13.01.2022 I have put together a document to send to all our councillors and the mayor as well as the CEO. I have copied all the comments I could see on FB regarding the kiosk so that council can see the support this issue has. if anyone would rather not have their comment sent to council please let me know and I will delete it from the document. I will email this to council on Monday so hopefully that will give everyone enough time to get in touch with me. if you have shared previous posts, please share this so that your friends are aware and can get in contact with me if they need to. cheers :)

04.01.2022 And here's Council's Response....... Message from the Mayor with regards to the mobile food van at the beach front at Seaview Street. The operators have a permi...t to use the land, which is a road reserve, for a mobile food van until June 30, 2014. This permit was issued in December before they voluntarily closed the doors on the old building. Council is keen to work with the operators to issue a food licence for a compliant mobile van. A mobile food van would enable the operators to dispose of their waste in a manner like all other such operators. Because the new kiosk van is not readily moved, the operators wish to install infrastructure to dispose of their waste which Council has declined due to the time frame of the permit and the nature of the road reserve. Council has received feedback that there is community support for a mobile small-scale service but that there are concerns over the uncompetitive nature of a full commercial café operating on Council land. Council has committed to reviewing this situation at the end of the financial year to ensure that the community interests are served through comprehensive open and transparent process. 03.01.2022 Yet another pathetic example of our local Councillor not getting behind our community...

01.01.2022 I have just had a phone call with Bill Shannon who has informed me that he has only received negative feedback regarding the situation with our kiosk. according to Bill he has not received a single call supporting what we are trying to achieve. 01.01.2022 Hi all, thank you to everyone who took the time to call Mr Shannon over the weekend :) from the feedback I have received, apparently bill is telling people that there is nothing stopping us from operating right now. I told bill on the phone Friday afternoon, right before he hung up on me, that we do not have a food licence and environmental services will not issue one until all issues relating to the disposal of our waste water have been resolved. It is not a simple case of paying the fee and having the licence issued.
