23.01.2022 Beachgoers: Stinger net Installation The weather is heating up which means we are entering stinger season. Stinger nets are scheduled to be installed a...cross the region from Wednesday 28 October 2020, weather permitting. Nets will be situated at: Etty Bay Kurrimine Beach Mission Beach South Mission Beach During the warmer months, marine stingers may be present in our tropical waters. You can minimise your risk of getting a nasty sting by always swimming in stinger nets where provided, wearing protective clothing, and not swimming when beaches are closed. For the current status of beaches located in our region, please visit the Surf Life Saving website at: http://www.nqlifesaving.com.au/beach-reports/ First Aid for Tropical Marine Stings 1. Call for medical help (ring 000). 2. Assess the patient and perform CPR if necessary. 3. Douse the sting site with vinegar as soon as possible. Vinegar inactivates the stinging cells, preventing them from injecting more venom. 4. Reassure the patient and keep calm until medical help arrives. 5. Wait at least 45 minutes before re-entering the water as symptoms of Irukandji syndrome can take a while to develop. 6. 22.01.2022 OPENING SOON Thanks for your overwhelming support and patience. Its been a busy time here as we work with key stakeholders to develop a COVID Safe Stay Program that helps combat the spread of COVID-19 and delivers a safe environment for staff and guests. The good news is were aiming to align our reopening with the easing of restrictions outlined in Stage 2 of the Queensland Government Roadmap. That includes welcoming guests living within 250km radius from 13 June 2020.... To make this possible, new guidelines will be released for the park. This will include operating at a reduced capacity to ensure we continue to meet with Queensland Governments social distancing and social gathering directives. What does that mean for you If you have an existing booking but live outside the travel limit, we encourage you to postpone your stay. If you have an existing booking and live within the 250km radius, we will be in touch regarding new guidelines. If you are on the waitlist, you will receive a questionnaire via email in the coming week to assist with the booking process. For guests hoping to secure a new booking please complete the waitlist form We apologise for what may seem an unconventional method of managing bookings during these unusual times. Social distancing requirements still apply so well be operating at a reduced capacity. 05.01.2022 Last week we welcomed Moore Park Beach Holiday Park to the 1EIGHT Family. Set just north of Bundaberg, along almost 20km of dog friendly beachfront, its the perfect place for long walks on the beach. At the north end you can 4WD on the beach and at the southern end turtles hatch in the summer months The park is pet friendly and has powered and unpowered sites as well as cabins.

01.01.2022 Yesterday we welcomed announcements from both Federal and State Governments regarding the easing of restrictions. The Queensland State Government roadmap indicates, from 13 June, parks are permitted to accept guests living within 250km. While the easing of restrictions has been outlined, these dates are indicative and reliant on a number of check points. There are also a number of health directives that we have to adhere to as we transition through the different phases.... We are currently finalising a plan on how we will be operating moving forward.
