25.01.2022 nbn Local has recently released its new and improved Digital Capability Tool that we call the OSCAR survey (Online Skills Check and Resources), so not Oscar the Grouch. Not only does it give individuals a rating on how the measure along the digital spectrum, but also offers some tips and resources for them to consider. It also helps us by providing a snapshot of the digital literacy of the region. The individual entries are totally anonymous and are designed to give people somethings to measure themselves against. 25.12.2021 We are excited to introduce you to the interim Mission Beach Chamber of Commerce currently being actioned by several local small business owners. We are in foundation stages as we commence the creation of a chamber structure and complete all necessary regulatory processes. In the meantime, we are keen to garner interest from business people within the wider communities of North and South Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach and Bingil Bay. Once the foundations are set we will invite further participation to build a strong and purposeful committee with the intent to spearhead the actions and achievements of the Chamber per the mission statement to "... drive economic development and increase the overall experience provided to our visitors in a post-covid environment".
