20.01.2022 Happy Monday I read a meme on the weekend that I can't stop thinking about. "When I asked my wife to share the queen sized blanket she said she was a queen ...and therefore the blanket was at max capacity." This is of course hilarious But it got me thinking about how many of us don't take up the space we deserve and really own it? How many of us get half the blanket or even less and just accept that? So often I feel as if mammas are out there so busy making sure everyone else's needs are met that they forget it's ok to have your own needs met also. So tell me about your blanket wars and if you are ready to step into your Queenliness.

15.01.2022 Today, 11am,Elarish/MBRd between ‘Recent Crossing’ signs near Lacy creek. We stopped with hazard lights on as the birds wandered all over road. Cleanaway truck behind us crossed double lines on crest of hill to pass us and just missed one of the babies.

A fantastic, f...un afternoon raising funds for good causes. For the past 7 years the funds have been raised for Mission Beach Cassowaries Inc which has allowed us to contribute to many cassowary and environmental awareness raising projects. 07.01.2022 I cannot see the sunrise this morning but I was revelling in the beautiful colours at dawn on my morning walk. The blessed relief from the heat when the rains ...come is just wonderful. The plants and grasses that suddenly spring to life with lush greenness. The chorus of frogs and toads. The sound of the rain and the smell of renewal and rejuvenation everywhere. I do believe wet season is my favorite time of year.

07.01.2022 A dream come true. This morning we were minding our business and enjoying our surroundings on the Licuala Walk to then have these guys emerge from the rainforest. Thanks to everyone for the tips on likely places to see these beautiful creatures.

06.01.2022 1pm today. 1 adult and 3 juveniles crossing Cassowary Dr right at Lot 66...(blue sign in pic). 1 juvenile had lagged right behind and if cars had not stopped and waited, the last one would have darted out into traffic and got skittled.
