It is estimated t...hat $1.5million of legal fees to date - which will be paid by your rates - have been incurred by CCRC for a private defamation claim for one person - the CEO who you are already paying over $350,000 per year for the privilege he has of being in charge of Council. If this is acceptable to you then do nothing - feel free to even leave a negative comment. If you don’t believe that $1.5million+++ of your rates should be ‘given’ to the CEO who already is taking $350,000 per year of your rates then PLEASE sign this petition. The time has come for you to stand up for change in this community.

17.01.2022 An early start this morning so Cheryl, Mark, Cory and I could spend most of the day in and around Tully Gorge searching for waterfalls. Tully Gorge is located ...358km North of Townsville. Our first stop was Disappearing Falls, also known as Champagne Falls. Every time I have previously visited, they have been almost dry as the falls only flow in the wet season. It was well worth standing out in the pouring rain, getting absolutely drenched to capture these photos. We were not disappointed by what we saw. Disappearing Falls are amazing. Word is he has spent over $1.5 million dollars already for a case that will not return a cent win or lose! This is a public disgrace and everyone works so hard to pay the highest rates in Queensland in the cassowary Coast. Councillors gave themselves a payrise too after sacking 34 local people and then the CEO James Gott brought in his friends from out of town to give them the jobs. If you're fed up with all of this, show your outrage this Saturday! . There'a public rally been organised for this Saturday 14th September at 11.30 in the morning in the Park opposite the RSL in Innisfail. This is just the beginning and see you there.
01.01.2022 Hello Mission Beach! This post is to respond to recent comments made by Mission Beach’s very own serial pest. The page admin of the ‘Mission Beach News’ Faceboo...k page is one Rodney Young and is known to most people in the community as, and I quote many people, a serial pest. He continuously makes ridiculous claims that he has organized different events for Mission Beach. This is simply untrue, if anything he has impeded the progress of events since 2016. He has in some instances raised funds from a few local businesses where he claimed some involvement with a New Year event in 2016. This money was never handed to any authority towards the event and has never been accounted for to any extent. In one discussion with Rodney, before I knew who he was, he told me he had secured the band U2 to attend the 2019 New Year celebrations. Really!!! Given some comments in response to one of his posts this evening where some have said that they will reconsider traveling to Mission, I implore you to reconsider! The attractions of this beautiful town and community far outweigh any comments made by one delusional fool. I have worked with Hillary Watson on several events now and she has been targeted by this person as well. I only know this lady to be close to the heartbeat of this community and a beautiful soul. Rodney does not run a news site! He is not a journalist! Nor is he a responsible person to be claiming such a position. I feel the best way to deal with him could be to remove his platform of self interest. Please consider unliking or unfollowing the page MISSION BEACH NEWS. He does not deserve the status of such a page nor has he displayed any responsibility in promoting Mission Beach as a destination for tourists or other visitors.
