24.01.2022 How sweet are these big smiles on this family! We love witnessing whole families find time to experience real joy through our Family Sponsorship program when they shift from just surviving to actually living.

22.01.2022 Ylia, a heart to reach other families like his own. My two elder daughters also volunteer for MWB. We all do that out of gratitude to God and to the Mission for helping us so incredibly much. The feeling of being able to serve and support the people around us is indescribable. From being a family who needed support, we’re now a family offering support to the needy. And all this is possible thanks to MWB.

21.01.2022 My husband just returned from hospital and I do not have a job, this food is s such a relief for our family in this situation, Rodica, the mother of two children. #feelgoodfriday

20.01.2022 It was your support that gave me this start. I needed direction, support and hope, and you gave it to me, Oleh shared. Oleh is the harvest that family sponsorship brings to families in Eastern Europe who are living in the cycle of poverty. Oleh and his family started from nothing. Then, someone sowed into family sponsorship and through that ongoing partnership journeyed with Oleh and his family to see this amazing harvest as a result. Sow into a family’s harvest of self-sufficiency and sponsor a family now.

20.01.2022 Navigating complex global disasters has been enormously challenging for us in Australia, yet imagine how much harder it would be if you were living in a cycle of poverty. Part of the journey a sponsored family experiences includes MWB connecting families with local community support services and churches.... Just as a wheat stalk grows taller, it grows stronger. Developing a network of local relationships will strengthen a family unit and build resilience in each member. Each stage of the family sponsorship journey continues to build toward a harvest of self-sufficiency. Be part of the journey and sponsor a family today.

19.01.2022 Our volunteers who packed 9,000 OCL boxes in Romania wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and thank you for the part you played in making this operation possible. One of our coordinators shared, "We were supposed to have 15 volunteers, but, some of them got sick and in a matter of days we needed to find new ones in order to start and finish on time the packing of the 9000 love boxes. With so many sick people in Sibiu (our town) we were wondering if we were able to find ...new volunteers in such a short time, but, God knew better! He "provided" us with 21 volunteers!!! Many of them have jobs and had to take off from work for a week and others were students who really wanted to get involved. We are thankful for God's care for us and we feel richly blessed because even in this difficult times we can bless the poor! Once again, a big THANK YOU to our supporters!"

18.01.2022 THE DEMCHIK FAMILY Mariya, 48, wiped away tears and said, My children have learned to be compassionate and caring. They realise how difficult and cruel life can be and they’ve learned how to live with it. Their father is often away working and my poor health means I am often in hospital. My children had to learn how to take care of themselves and the boys do all the faming - taking care of the livestock is a lot of hard work.... The Demchik’s depend on being able to sell the food and dairy products that these young boys work hard to produce but lockdown in Ukraine has taken away that source of income. This year the Demchik's have relied on the support provided through MWB Sponsorship program more than ever this year, so you can imagine how elated Mariya and the children will be when Sergiy (MWB Coordinator) arrives at their doorstep with an OCL Box under his arm. This $50 box provides the family with a nice meal and a few things that will help their burdens feel a little lighter this Christmas, a reminder that God is always faithful in every season. https://www.mwb.org.au/ocl

18.01.2022 Sue who is facing a difficult season of her own during the Coronavirus pandemic shares her heart behind why she is giving to OCL this year. It is incredible to me that families get so much joy out of simple things. These are practical presents that people can use but that are also bringing just a little bit of joy into their lives. Some of the families we’ve had over the years even ones we’ve had for quite a long time, they always got joy from those boxes, to us it seems s...o very basic but it’s good that we can just do something that will bring them joy. We’ve had many years where we had very little available but Mission Without Borders and your Operation Christmas Love boxes is not demanding and is not hard to give too. "

17.01.2022 We are praising God that He made a way for our fantastic team in Ukraine to hold a Summer Day Camp for children living in one of the Homes we support! This year has been incredibly tough and isolating for so many and every opportunity to spread a little joy has been cherrished. Lets continue to pray that God would make a way for us to do the same for other children before the cooler months arrive

12.01.2022 Happy Father's Day! As we celebrate Father's Day here in Australia we would like to take the time to thank every kind of father. Whether you are a biological father, adopted father, spiritual father, father figure or not quite yet father, thank you for how hard you work to create a better future for your children and your children's children. Today we celebrate you, your love and your sacrifice!

12.01.2022 It is that time of year again when hundreds of volunteers begin to prepare thousands of boxes that will not only give much needed food to people in poverty but will also share with them the love of Christ. 2020 has been tough for everyone, let's stand together as a collective group, a family and ensure that in everything and everywhere His name will be glorified. If you are able to bless a family in need this Christmas head over to our website to find out more or send us a message! https://www.mwb.org.au

12.01.2022 For children like young Tudor here whose families live in poverty this week brings a lot of anxiety as they start school in Eastern Europe. It is easy for children in poverty to think that education is not for them. Thankfully for Tudor, he is sponsored through MWB and we gifted him a bag full of stationery to equip him on his school journey. ... Tudor said happily, When I saw that Serghei (MWB Coordinator) was giving me such a wonderful school bag, I thought that my mum wouldn’t take it for me because it would probably be too expensive. But I was so happy when I heard that it’s a free gift for me from the Mission. Serghei said, Children are a blessing from God. When I see children who live under the burden of the poverty and who feel sad and neglected because of that, I want to do all I can to help. Little Tudor is one of many children from our area who needs to be shown love and care, because he is precious in God’s eyes and we want him to know how special and important he is. To find out how you can help other vulnerable children like Tudor head over to our website https://www.mwb.org.au

10.01.2022 Prayer for MWB Ukraine! As I share this post there is a team of our people and trucks filled with OCL boxes, travelling over 1000kms to reach people in need in eastern Ukraine . Please pray for protection over this team and for the pastors who are waiting to meet them as they work together to deliver hope and Christ's Love across war torn areas.

10.01.2022 Did you know that Ukraine is still seeing over 2,000 new cases of COVID-19 each day? Please continue to pray for the people of Ukraine and our team who continue to do what they can to reach vulnerable people in our communities. #prayforukraine #reachingpeople #buildinghope

10.01.2022 I recently gave birth to our fifth child. I had to have a Cesarean and stayed in hospital for a long time. We had to borrow a lot of money. -Nadiya Bobyk, 39 The Bobyk's have been deeply affected by the pandemic. They own two cows and make some money selling milk in the main town, Sarny. When Ukraine imposed strict restrictions in March to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the selling of agricultural goods was limited and for a long time, the Bobyks could not earn anything.... Receiving an OCL Box this year will bring some much needed joy to Nadiya and her 5 children!

09.01.2022 The most incredible expression of love can be found in seeing a family who was once just surviving, now thriving. Just before wheat is harvested the crop is full of blooming flowers, showing the result of all the care and nurturing the farmer invested. Because of your ongoing family sponsorship, MWB is able to continue working with a sponsored family to hone their skills, and teach them new ones, and provide tools which will propel them forward toward the harvest of self-sust...ainability. Equip a family to break the cycle of poverty and sponsor a family now.

09.01.2022 When a family is under stress from internal or external pressures, survival becomes the focus and change is much harder in this mode. Sarah from MWB understands that breaking the cycle of poverty starts by meeting a family where they are at - responding to their basic immediate needs, such as access to clean water, food and hygiene education. She works with Australian families to help them sow into good soil through an international family sponsorship which sets something p...owerful in motion. In the same way a crop needs nurturing to see a harvest, so too, does a family struggling with poverty. Once immediate needs are met, with your continued support, MWB can walk alongside the family, equipping them along the way to a harvest of self-sufficiency. Find out how you can partner with us to break a family’s cycle of poverty. Visit www.mwb.org.au/get-involved

09.01.2022 It makes a big impact on a family knowing that there is someone on the other side of the world who cares about them, Airdrie, a family sponsor, shares. Through family sponsorship MWB journeys alongside the family, building strength, dignity and confidence. These are important factors which contribute to a family’s growth, enabling them to move out of crisis towards sustainability and self-sufficiency. Would it surprise you to know that wheat takes seven to eight months foll...owing planting to reach maturity and is ready to harvest? There is a lot of care and tending to that crop through all of the growth stages. The same is true to walk with an impoverished family from poverty to self-sustainability. Find out how you can be part of the journey of hope for a family today.

07.01.2022 2020 has left many families in poverty struggling more than ever. This Christmas, we want people to experience the love and generosity of Christ by gifting those living in poverty with an OCL box. This box will allow them to celebrate Christmas at the same time lessening their burdens during the winter. More than ever before, we would love for you to share this incredible Operation to reach 40,000 families in Eastern Europe with your friends, families and churches. With your ...support, we can do it! Go to www.mwb.org.au/ocl to give a OCL box today

06.01.2022 Volunteers, families and our team in Bosnia-Herzegovina all came together to harvest 4,300kg potatoes. 500kg will be given to families and the rest will be used in our Glamoc Soup Kitchen which feeds more that 90 people every day. What a blessing! The joy on these families faces as they learnt new skills that enabled them to give back to other families in need says it all! Incredible effort by all.

05.01.2022 Around 500 Volunteers across our field countries will band together to pack 40,000 OCL boxes this year. Many of them will take time out from their paying jobs to help get this massive job done. Others are people who have experienced the power and impact that this act of love can have in someone's life. Yana who used to be supported by MWB shares, "Now I volunteer for MWB as a way to express my gratitude and also because I want other children to receive what we did attention, care, family. Lots of children don’t have these things. All children have the right to receive care and love."

05.01.2022 Because of our family sponsorship all three of the girls were able to attend school, something the mother never thought possible, Australian family sponsor, Tanya, shares. Tending a crop to harvest involves making sure the crop is not harmed by disease or pests. Breaking the cycle of poverty for an impoverished family means addressing various areas which may have broken down and contributed to that cycle within the family. Your partnership provides for an MWB partner on the... ground to walk with the family through advocacy and providing the necessary resources for children to be educated. Today the eldest daughter is attending university, Tanya shares excitedly. It’s such a joy to have been part of their journey. Partner with MWB; partner with a family. Start your family sponsorship today.
