25.01.2022 Hiyu’ all, bad news, our regular Speewah Tavern gig is on hold.. bit of a bugger eh.??.. we like playing that gig, we get a good chance to try all our new songs there and it’s like our Misipi home away from home... there and Elixir, we fell real comfortable at those gigs.. Anyway.. that’s the news, we have more gigs I’m chasing.. it’ll all happen soon.. Upcoming Gigs..... Sun April 11th Elixir Bar 7-10pm Sat July 31st Red Beret 8pm - 12am

24.01.2022 A GREAT night was had Sunday Night, with about 30 folk at The Elixir Music Bar, we've played other gigs but this was our first "real" gig, as in... a bar with paying customers. We did 4 sets and slept well that night. Thanks to Christine and Terry booking us for Chris's B'day... a privilege..!!

22.01.2022 Hi yu’all, well you might think we’ll be rusty for the next gig.. oh no mu Ludd, we’ve been recording or finishing off recording our next 4 new songs, there’s a CRACKER of a song called I Need a Drink, I think you know where I’m coming from.. here a synopsis of the 4 verses. * 14 Hr Days, 7 days a week.. etc * 35 years he’s been living at home.. etc * I got a parking ticket when I paid my speeding fine etc... * Weather’s getting hot, the weather’s getting cold, still don’t know if I believe what I’ve been told.. etc I had another verse dealing with that issue of a woman in Oz who bought a lotto ticket, FOR THE FIRST TIME and won $40 Million, now that’s just damn wrong from any view of the universe I reckon, when I heard that, I thought. (you know what I thought) I NEED A DRINK. So to business.. the next gig. THIS FRIDAY NIGHT.. The Tablelands Music Lovers Club The Grand Hotel Atherton.. 7.30pm We played there a couple of months ago and it’s like playing in a rather large lounge room. It’s bloody great, we don’t have to play soft or anything. You bloody beauty..!! See yu’s there. Oh Also I’m giving a free lecture the next day at The Grand - Atherton, all about recording and it’s FREE. The in’s and out’s of how to record songs etc-etc, I’ve had a Recording Studio in Sydney for 25 years and recorded over 300 CD’s, so.. I gotta lot tu say.. 1pm -5pm free Talk soon. Misipi JEFF

20.01.2022 Speewah was a ripper of a gig, lottsa people at the beginning, so we went hard expecting numbers to fall as the night went on but much to our delight, everyone stayed till the end, we were exhausted...!!! WE're now locked in 1st Sat of EVERY month.. yahoo... the boss is happy.

05.01.2022 Misipi are playing the fabulous "Blues Cafe" @ Mission Beach Sept 24th + 25th. The Thursday 24th gig, is actually a LUNCH TIME gig... wow, haven't done that kinda gig since I was in Ol'55 in the 1980's... , but a couple of dedicated "Mississippi Shakedown" fans are popping down from Cairns for that gig.. now that's what I call dedication... The Friday Night gig from 6-9pm should be in more familiar darkness, so it should rock... looking forward to converting a few Mission Beach-ers..
